Location
The Spring Parade of Homes is a scattered-site tour of new homes throughout the Fargo-Moorhead metro area.
Dates & Hours May 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19
Etiquette • Ask permission to take photos. In this age of social media and digital phones, it’s tempting to snap a photo of anything that interests you. Please ask the builder or Realtor working the home for permission first. And remember, that floor plans and unique home layouts can present a copyright concern. • Wear socks and remove your shoes when you tour Parade entries. Some homes may provide shoe covers.
• Noon – 5 p.m.
Admission & Parking • Admission is free to most homes: Register to tour the free homes through the mobile app or Parade website, www.paradefm.com. • $5 to tour all luxurious featured homes: Purchase tickets through the mobile app or Parade website. • Free parking is available on city streets. Please obey parking laws. Do not park in the driveways of Parade homes or block driveways of occupied homes.
Features • Luxurious Featured Homes - The cost is $5 to tour all featured homes. Entry numbers are 30 by Luxury Custom Homes, 67 by Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead, and 68 by Dietrich Homes. Members volunteer their entries in a fundraising effort to support their industry, Association and charity: Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation. Homes must be a first-time entry priced $750,000 and higher. • Mobile App - Download the app on your mobile device to browse information on each home, plan your route, get tickets, view home photos and more. Search “Parade FM.”
• Bring your children, but keep them close! Many homes are beautifully staged with fragile décor. Please leave pets at home. • No food or drink is allowed in the Parade homes. • Do not use bathrooms in Parade homes.
Extra Tips • Licensing Requirements: On each home listing in this magazine, you will see the builders’ license numbers listed for Minnesota and North Dakota (examples: MN BC003792; ND 369). Builders acquire license numbers for the states in which they work. North Dakota requires a contractor to obtain a license when the cost, value or price per job exceeds $2,000. Minnesota requires contractors to acquire licenses when the annual gross receipts from residential contracting or remodeling activities exceeds $15,000. To check the status of a license, or for more details, visit www.nd.gov/sos/licensing (N.D.) or https://secure.doli.state.mn.us/ lookup/licensing (Minnesota). • Protect yourself: All home plans are the property of the architect, designer or builder and may not be copied. Please ask permission before taking any photos. See page 24 for more information.
• Website - Visit the event-dedicated website accessible at www. paradefm.com to view the homes, research builders, see maps and get tickets. • Pull-out Map - This magazine includes a large, useful pull-out map, providing an at-a-glance reference.
