Reminder From The Inspections Department Fargo’s Inspections Department reminds builders to include braced-wall details in plan submittals. The city enforces blocking at the seams in braced wall panels if the exterior sheeting is horizontal. If you are not using standard wall bracing you have to show how the wall is braced otherwise. If you do not show details on your plan, inspectors have to perform calculations in the field. This could delay your inspection process or cause changes to your plans. Find section 602.10.4.4 in your International Residential Code book to reference this rule in more detail.
