esidential real estate is a complex business, however the process of buying and selling doesn’t have to be. With over 14 years experience in the local real estate market, Sharon has become an expert in guiding clients through properties and suburban lifestyles of Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo, Danville, Livermore, San Ramon, Pleasanton, and Walnut Creek. The top producer has earned a reputation for her honest insight and tough negotiating, hinting at why she’s been a consistent member of Alain Pinel’s Presidents Club since 2006. Yet, Sharon’s success began far before entering real estate in 2000. The Chicago native held an impressive 13-year career in the gaming industry working with Maxis, Bally Midway, and Sega while running her own business as a video game designer. She pioneered her way through the digital arts by creating Bally Midway’s Ms. Pac-Man character, known and loved by countless gamers. “I was actually teaching my professors how to draw digitally and was one of the first to do so, during a time where there wasn’t even color on computers or tools (aka-mouse) to draw on a computer,” says Sharon. While Sharon took an interest in real estate right out of high school, her creative background and entrepreneurial experience have proved to be invaluable. Her artistic inclinations are part of her trademark, helping sellers present their home in its most idyllic fashion. A skilled interior designer Sharon is known for turning a room into a coveted home with her uncanny staging talents. Many of her sellers end up having her revamp their new homes after seeing her at work. The Barr Day Group recently welcomed Melanie Milham in the summer of 2014. Drawing on years of experience, the team begins by collaborating with their clients to develop a strategic vision and a structured game plan. Seasoned at fluid communication and attention to detail, Melanie sets clients at ease knowing their wants and needs being heard and met. When they’re not showcasing listings and house shopping with buyers, Melanie and Sharon enjoy spending time with their families and community activities. An active philanthropist Sharon has helped raised $300,000 to date for the Blackhawk Women’s Scholarship Fund, an organization that provides financial assistance to college-bound women throughout Contra Costa County. She is also on the Blackhawk Country Club’s Membership Committee. Sharon spends her free time with her husband, Brandon Day, a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors whose ongoing support has contributed to her referral-based business. The pair has been married for 15 years and enjoys vacationing abroad, spending time at the beach with their dog, as well as golfing, hiking, and playing bocce ball. Melanie has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 20 years and is the proud mother of Mackenzie, sophomore at UCIrvine; Aubrey, sophomore at Monte Vista High School; and her twins Sam and Sydney, 8th grade students at Diablo Vista Middle School.
