EVENT RECAP: Bells Ring for Bellumori It goes without saying that Steve Bellumori left an inspiring legacy that stretched well beyond his real estate efforts. In light of his recent passing, community members came together on December 2nd to celebrate Steve’s life at Menlo-Atherton District’s “Bells Ring for Bellumori” holiday event. Thanks to the generosity of over 100 donors and sponsors, the event raised $18,500 for Steve’s memorial fund. The proceeds of the silent auction, live auction, and Fund-A-Need will go towards Menlo Atherton High School’s Partnership for Success, a cause close to his heart. “Steve was a special person – a truly wonderful man. His passing is a huge loss because he gave back to the community in so many ways. Steve was an early Menlo-Atherton High School Foundation Board member and remained committed to the cause of supporting economically challenged students in our community throughout his life,” says Cindy Folker, Executive Director of MAHS Foundation for the Future. In keeping with his values, The M-A Partnership for Success connects at-risk students with comprehensive services on and off campus. The donations will help fund PFS staff, along with a range of opportunities including: tutoring in the writing and homework centers, 28 workshops and communications for Hispanic families, a 5-week summer Honors Institute for top-performing incoming 9th grade students from the Ravenswood School District, as well as a 5-week summer Compass program for struggling students.
