Through his experience he’s formed guidelines that keep his sellers’ time and money in mind. “My bottom line policy is that if we can’t get $2 back for every $1 we invest in the property, then it’s not worth doing,” says Gary. “Being a general contractor I can also steer my clients to vendors that are going to give them preferential rates, quality work in a timely manner. That’s important.” Beyond negotiating and marketing, Gary also knows how to navigate through today’s aggressive market. Knowing the proper price point helps his sellers move fluidly throughout the process.

“The biggest mistake you can make as a listing agent is to overprice the home, because there is a price point where the pain is too high and the buyers won’t come to the plate. In a market where things are moving and everyone has the expectation that things sell in a week, it’s important to price accurately,” says Gary. A husband and father of six, Gary enjoys staying active in the Los Altos Little League and supporting local schools during his down time.
