to see some old faces, and even meet some of you for the first time! Now that lockdown measures are looking like easing, we will be looking to put more events like this on again in the not-sodistant future, so keep an eye out!
Check out our new promotional videos Throughout the last few months, we have been working on a series of promotional videos with local filmmaker, motivational speaker, and front man of the band HUGE, Big Ian. We are delighted with how they have turned out and they will be incredibly beneficial to us, in showcasing what we do, and what it’s like being a CAREGiver. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved in filming, especially Dianne, Sandra, Julia & Helen. We know it’s not in everyone’s comfort zone being recorded, but you all did a superb job! We will be sharing the videos on social media regularly, so if you see one, don’t forget to like/share and comment!
Most of us welcome the hot weather, but when it’s too hot for too long there can be health risks. The elderly are one of the groups who are particularly at risk of health problems. Knowing how to keep your clients cool & hydrated during long periods of hot weather can help save lives. Here’s some useful tips to remain healthy during the warmer weather:
n S hut windows and close curtains when it is hotter outside than in. You can open them for ventilation when it’s cooler. n S tay out of the sun particularly between 11am and 3pm. n K eep rooms cool and have cool baths and showers or splash with cool water. n D rink cold drinks regularly but avoid tea, coffee and alcohol. n W ear loose, cool clothing, and a hat if you go outdoors.
