Announcing your Entertainments Committee Say Hello to your Entertainments Committee Julia, Nicola and Kelly. They will be in sole charge of organising CAREGiver social events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for information of upcoming events by email, social media and in future issues of the Companion.
As you will all know by now I will be leaving Home Instead in mid May. I would like to thank you all personally for your hard work, commitment and the great service you provide to your clients. I came to HISC three years ago, and to be honest I didn’t know much about them. However, I leave firmly believing that the vision and support (for clients and CAREGivers) that the company provides makes them the premier care agency in York & Ryedale. I wish you all the best for the future, Andy. As you all know I will be leaving Home Instead this month. I would like to thank you all personally for your hard work, commitment and dedication. I came back to HISC three years ago and knew I would be in for a challenging time doing schedules but, you have all been amazing in the support that you have given. I wish you all the best for the future, and if any of you want to give Kickboxing a go or want to improve your fitness, you know where to come, so for the last time, Kind Regards, Charlene.

n Mix sweets PEAQ week is almost upon us! The annual Home Instead survey will be held at the office from June 5th-9th, this year with an extra twist. As well as the national prize of high street shopping vouchers and our local prize of a restaurant voucher, available to all CAREGivers will be a bag so they can help themselves to our very own “PEAQ n Mix” sweets. Clients will also be receiving a hard copy of the PEAQ questionnaire. It would be greatly appreciated if you could encourage them to complete their survey. Keep an eye on your emails for more information over the coming weeks! See the back page to see what we did following last year’s survey.
Film Club Earlier this month we hosted our first ever CAREGiver Film Club. We supplied the popcorn and the film, Grandpa’s Great Escape, starring David Walliams, Jennifer Saunders and Tom Courtney. Join us for our next screening on Monday 4th June at 1.30pm. This time we will be showing ‘Still Alice’ starring Oscar Winning Actress Julianne Moore. Reserve your seat with us and remember that if you join us, 90 minutes will be added to your schedule, so you will be paid for attending.
