Home Instead Senior Care York & Ryedale 10th Anniversary Celebrations This month we celebrated the 10th anniver sary of Home Instead in York by hosting an afternoon tea for some of the organisations we have worked with over that time. We were honoured to have both the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Janet Looker and the Right Honourable Julian Sturdy, MP for York Outer attend the celebration and learn more about how Home Instead provides support at home to its clients. We were also delighted to host representatives from St Leonard’s Hos
pice, York Older People’s Assembly, the Alzheimer’s Society, Crombie Wilkinson, Ardent Financial and the Independent Care Group who have all been part of the Home Instead journey over the last 10 years. The most popular attendee was without doubt Henrietta the vintage van. Rosa from Teatime Yorkshire provided tea, coffee and cakes from her kitchen in the back of Henrietta. It’s been a special year for Home Instead York which started with an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission and has included a ‘5 star employer’ award from WorkBuzz and being shortlisted for ‘Employer of the Year’ in the York Press Business Awards. We would like to thank everyone involved in helping us to achieve as much as we have in the last 10 years: clients, employees, family and all of our colleagues who are working to improve the lives of older people in York.
