INTERACTIVE The “Wish Come True” mobile game, built for iPhones, iPods, iPads, and Android devices will enhance the curriculum of the on-air programming by letting young viewers guide True and Bartleby on new and exciting adventures. Children will be able to interact with the characters while practicing decision-making and critical thinking skills that they learn while watching “Wish Come True.” By bringing these activities into an interactive game environment, the lessons of the curriculum will be better absorbed and understood. The game will be an immersive experience that will be designed to support the over-arching goals, such as: • • • •
develop theories about people, places and things test a variety of hypotheses choose the best course of action understand the consequences of actions
The game will consist of a series of adventures for True and Bartleby that draw from and support the on-air content. In addition, several mini-games and activities will be used to enhance the experience along the way. Players will be rewarded and motivated by a comprehensive scoring system that encourages a continued mastery of critical thinking aimed at selfconfidence, rather than simplified points and badges system found in many online and mobile games.
