This is Homeport’s second year of the twoyear, $200,000 Neighborhood Builders grant. It is Bank of America’s signature philanthropic program to provide funding and leadership training to nonprofits that are advancing economic mobility and building up underserved neighborhoods in major, metro and suburban markets.

Comenity Bank, a subsidiary of Bread Financial, granted $390,000 to Homeport. This grant will support Homeport’s affordable housing initiatives in Central Ohio and is in addition to a previous $1.5 million long-term investment by the bank.

After serving at Columbus Area Integrated Health Services for nearly six years, the organization came to an end. Without missing a beat, Precious Milton started Concrete Orkidz, a free program that offers tutoring, meals, summer camps, and social-emotional learning initiatives for children.
