Although I’ll be spending my time on the home front and hubby will be spending his on a naval ship, we couldn’t feel more blessed. STAY POSITIVE Expecting a precious addition to your family is an experience that both parents should share. Deployments during such a special time can be very stressful for both parents-‐to-‐be. Making it a point to stay positive will alleviate unwanted stress. STAY IN TOUCH Use whatever communication tools are available to share updates on the progression of the pregnancy. Giving updates about doctor appointments, sending selfies, and sharing emotions gives a feeling of closeness even while apart. STAY STRONG Loneliness is not an emotion that should be hanging around during what should be one of the happiest times in your life. Having the support of family and friends is a necessity.
