LIBRARY UPDATE WE SPEAK LIBRARY, TO SIMPLIFY THE FUTURE Ask and you shall receive, my friends! We at Midwest Tape only work with libraries. We continuously strive to listen to and learn from our customers, as we work to develop and consistently enhance and improve the services we provide to meet the needs you share with us. hoopla digital is no different. Technology, however, continues to evolve at an extremely rapid pace, making our communications with you even more necessary and important. As hoopla evolves to meet the changing demands of the industry, your community and library patrons, we use avenues such as our blog and social media to keep you informed and engaged. Many of you have shared that you would prefer to have this information delivered to you personally, as opposed to having to source multiple outlets for information. For this reason, we have opted to bring back your hoopla digital newsletter!
While we will continue to maintain our blog and Courtney’s Corner for ongoing engagement, we plan to bring everything together as one package and deliver it to you in newsletter form every other month! Here in our January newsletter, you will find information on: -

TECH TALK: A YEAR IN REVIEW It has been an exciting year for hoopla digital. Committed to both our libraries and the communities they serve, we have continuously updated our app, website, and library administrative portal to keep them running as relevant and smoothly as possible! Take a Look at our Year in Review! In 2016, we accomplished the following: - Incorporated Kids Mode into hoopla digital. Kids Mode, located under Settings, allows parents and librarians the ability to limit what their
children see on hoopla. All content found in Kids Mode is geared for children aged 12 and under. - Released 4.0 updates for iOS, Android and the website. We gave our apps and site a facelift and a fresher layout, and we enhanced the site’s search function. - Gave the Library Administrative Portal a Refresh. We made reports a bit clearer to understand and a bit easier to access, allowing our libraries a clear vision on how their service is being used. More enhancements and features are to come in 2017!
