We continuously strive to listen to and learn from our customers, as we work to develop and consistently enhance and improve the services we provide to meet the needs you share with us. hoopla digital is no different. Technology, however, continues to evolve at an extremely rapid pace, making our communications with you even more necessary and important. As hoopla evolves to meet the changing demands of the industry, your community and library patrons, we use avenues such as our blog and social media to keep you informed and engaged. Many of you have shared that you would prefer to have this information delivered to you personally, as opposed to having to source multiple outlets for information. For this reason,
we have opted to bring back your hoopla digital newsletter! While we will continue to maintain our blog and Courtney’s Corner for ongoing engagement, we plan to bring everything together as one package and deliver it to you in newsletter form every other month! Our Commitment to Keeping Your Costs Low Since hoopla digital’s inception, we have been committed to providing your patrons immediate access to a depth and breadth of content that would be difficult to provide in a single copy use model. In the past three years, our collection has grown from a mere 13,000 titles to over 500,000! Even with this dynamic growth, our per-circ average remains just around the $2.00 (US)/$2.05 (CA) price point! Imagine if you were to purchase a collection of this size…Even at $20.00 per copy, that cost would be right around $10,000,000.00!
We continue to work diligently with the studios and publishers that provide us access to content for hoopla to keep your per-circ costs low. We are pleased to share that, effective 8/1/16, we now maintain content at no more than $3.99 (US) / $4.99 (CA) per circ! A special thank you for sharing hoopla with your community... as our service grows, we are armed with more clout to acquire quality content at reasonable costs for you!
