Fun Opportunities Enchanted Stars Dance Little Girls & Their Favorite Guy

Friday, March 6 6:30-8:30 pm Eisenhower Community Center Girls, ages 4-12, and their dad, uncle, grandfather, or friend will enjoy an enchanted evening together. Create memories together dancing to your favorite beats with music provided by Zero Gravity Entertainment. Check out our Bling Shop to purchase cool accessories. Enjoy photo opportunities, crafts, and games. Pizza slices will be available for purchase.

Non-School Day Field Trip: Urban Air Adventure Tuesday, March 31, 10 am-4 pm Ages 7-12

Spend part of your Spring Break at the ultimate indoor adventure park! This trip will offer kids a chance to defy gravity and explore all kinds of adventures from ziplines, trampolines, a ropes course, indoor playground, and much more! Pizza lunch is included. Nominate a young person for a Caring Youth Award! If you know a young person in grades 7-12 who shows an ongoing awareness of others through volunteering or other activities, consider nominating him or her for a 2020 Caring Youth Award!

To qualify, a Caring Youth must meet at least one of the following criteria:

live in Minnetonka, Hopkins, or Golden Valley; attend school in Hopkins or Minnetonka; and/or volunteer (unpaid) in Minnetonka, Hopkins, or Golden Valley. Young people may only be nominated by the organization they are serving. Art & Dance Elementary Drawing

Grades 1-6 Young Rembrandts Start 2020 off with a bang! Students will flex their creative muscles as they take on artistic challenges like our Winter Birdhouses and Sporty Snowboarder lesson. Students will then master perspective and personality as they complete a challenging Palm Tree Scene, cute Penguins, and their own version of Grant Wood’s American Gothic. Lastly, get ready for a mix of elegance and graphic style drawings as students complete a Graceful Swan and Line Art Owl. Grades 4-6 Nicholas Erpelding Do you like solving puzzles? Speaking in coded languages? Competing as part of a team? Bridge is the game for you! Join our small group and learn to play the greatest game in the world. Learn the rules of bridge, develop a toolbox of strategies, practice good sportsmanship, and have fun! Red Cross Babysitting

Ages 11-16 Sari Johnson Whether you are an experienced babysitter or just beginning to care for children, this is the class for you. Ages 6-12 Bolder Pointe Equestrian Center Learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and do inhand work with horses. Attendees will also enjoy horse-related crafts and activities, like braiding a horse’s mane and tail, and helping feed, water and care for horses. Friday Night Live!

Grades 7-9 Afton Alps Ski Club package includes 4 nights of skiing or snowboarding, bus, and lift tickets at Afton Alps in Hastings. Students must ride the bus to and from Afton. Food can be purchased from the Chalet or brought from home. Ski/snowboard rental is available at Afton for $23. Helmets are included in rental price or fee is $10 per helmet if not renting other equipment. Rental fees are not included in the Ski Club registration fee. Students will need to bring money to purchase equipment rentals or helmets. Ski equipment can be stored at school the morning of each trip. Students will meet the bus at the main school door. Robotic Builders

Grades K-3 Tech Academy With the LEGO® WeDo Robotics System™, students can build and program their robotic creations. Designed by the experts at M.I.T., this unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and more. The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotic Builder™ allows students to explore different concepts in robotics. Possible models may include Dancing Birds, a Hungry Alligator Robot, a Goal Kicker robot, a Rescue Plane, or a Smart Spinner Robot. Working in teams, students will work with simple machines, program models they design and create, measure time and distance, write, and much more! Students will build LEGO® models featuring working motors, tilt sensors, motion detectors, and a LEGO® USB Robotics Hub. Non-School Day Fun: Intro to Coding with Superheroes

Grades K-2 Tech Academy Students can create their own platform video games in this cool class! Choose your story line with favorite superheroes as your stars, add challenges and levels of difficulty, then share by email or post on the web to challenge family and friends. Young students can practice math, logic and programming, and put their video game talents to work! The game will be in an animated Flash format, viewable in most internet browsers. City Builder

Fun for 5th & 6th graders Friday, April 17 Grades 5-6 • Kids & Company Staff Unleash your game skills with basketball, ping pong, trivia, a Magic® tourney, and much more! Dance the night away with a DJ and Dance Dance Revolution®. Enjoy snacks available for purchase. The junior high pool will be open for swimming.
