Family Opportunities Mighty Mudders Mud Run! Ages 6-13 Join us for the 1st Annual Mighty Mudders Mud Run! Arrive between 9:40-10:00 a.m. and kids will run in waves as the course clears. Run, jump, climb, and slide your way through obstacles around Glen Lake Elementary school grounds. The course is approximately ½ mile (run it twice if you’d like) and includes fun and challenging obstacles with a mud pit at the finish line. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Please wear clothing that can get dirty and bring a change of clothes for after the race! Registration deadline: May 15. #Y645: 1 session - limit 80 $29

School is out, have fun at Camp Royal on January 23! Grades 1-6 School is out—Camp Royal is in! Join us for a non-school day full of fun! In the morning, we’ll venture to Big Thrill Factory for unlimited play, laser tag, ropes course, and bumper cars. After working up an appetite, enjoy pizza and beverages for lunch. We’ll cap off the day by heading to Willow Creek Cinema for a childfriendly afternoon movie. Refreshments at the movie will not be provided. Firearms Safety Class

Ages 11+ David Klocek Learn about the safe handling of firearms and hunter responsibility in this 11 hour, DNR certification class. Demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms, including live fire field experience at the Scale Training Facility in Jordan, MN. Spring Horse Riding Camp Ages 6-18 Andrea Keacher Enjoy the excitement of horseback riding camp! Learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and work with horses. Enjoy horse crafts and other activities such as horseshoe painting, braiding a horse’s mane, bathing horses, horse tag, and helping feed and water horses. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe and heel), long pants, and layers depending on weather. Bring nut-free snacks, a water bottle, and a nut-free bag lunch. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided. Signed waivers are required. This camp is run in partnership with HopkinsMinnetonka Recreation Services. Midwest Drone Racing Learn basic flying techniques and get hands-on with flying a drone/quadcopter! In this fourweek course, you will learn about safety, FAA and local regulations, and maintenance. Fly through obstacles to challenge yourself with controlling and maneuvering the drone. The drones/quadcopters and transmitters will be supplied for each student for use during this course. Fun for the Whole Family! FREE Event! Spring Family Field Trip! Visit the Lowry Nature Center for an afternoon of outdoor family fun and exploration! Tap a maple tree and learn to make real maple syrup, take guided nature walks, meet live birds of prey, make crafts, and much more! Shuttles will transport from Eisenhower Elementary (Door A) and the Lowry Nature Center sites every half hour. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

Family Swim Saturdays Join us for a season of fun family swimming at Eisenhower Community Center pool. Lifeguards are on duty during all family swim hours. (This is not a swim lesson.) Swimmers must furnish their own suits and towels. All youth swimmers must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older who is dressed to swim. Swimmers may use approved masks/ goggles, fins, and snorkels. Please register and pay in the Eisenhower Community Center reception area before heading to the pool.

Friday Night Live: January 20 & April 28! Grades 5-6 • Kids & Company Staff Unleash your game skills with basketball, ping pong, trivia, Xbox Kinect, PS3, and a Magic tourney. Rock out to music with a DJ. Snacks will be available for purchase. The junior-high pool will also be open for swimming — bring a swimsuit and towel. This event gives your student a great chance to get introduced to the junior high building. Student pick up is promptly at 8:30 pm. Registration ends at noon on the day of this event.
