Showtime! Spookley the Square Pumpkin

Ages 3-7 Stages Theatre Company Spookley the Square Pumpkin journeys to Hopkins just in time for the Stages production! When Spookley arrives in the pumpkin patch, he is teased because of his unusual shape. His friends try to convince him to run for the Pick of the Patch Contest, but Spookley isn’t sure. Developing creativity, confidence, and character, you just might “dare to be square!” Families are invited to a portion of the final class to enjoy a sharing of skills learned. Horse Riding Camp Non-School Day Fun!

Ages 6-18 Andrea Keacher Learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and work with horses. Enjoy horse activities such as horseshoe painting, braiding a horse’s mane, bathing horses, horse tag, and helping feed and water horses. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots, long pants, and layers depending on weather. Bring a water bottle, and nut-free snacks/lunch. Helmets provided. Signed waivers are required. Fun for the Whole Family! FREE Event! Fall Family Field Trip! Visit the Lowry Nature Center for an afternoon of outdoor family fun and exploration! Enjoy guided nature walks, meet live birds of prey, multiple activity stations, crafts and much more! Shuttles will transport from Eisenhower Elementary (Door A) and the Lowry Nature Center sites every half hour. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

Family Swim Saturdays Join us for a season of fun family swimming at Eisenhower Community Center pool. Lifeguards are on duty during all family swim hours. (This is not a swim lesson.) Swimmers must furnish their own suits and towels. All youth swimmers must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older who is dressed to swim. Swimmers may use approved masks/ goggles, fins, and snorkels. Please register and pay in the Eisenhower Community Center reception area before heading to the pool.

Friday Night Live: October 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Grades 5-6 • Kids & Company Staff Unleash your game skills with basketball, ping pong, trivia, Xbox Kinect®, PS3®, and a Magic tourney. Rock out to music with a DJ. Snacks will be available for purchase. The junior high pool will also be open for swimming — bring a swimsuit and towel. This event gives your student a great chance to get introduced to the junior high building. Student pick up is promptly at 8:30 pm. Registration ends at noon on the day of this event.
