How to Edit the Content of Your Business Page within Moonfruit •
Use any browser and go to http://www.bournebusiness.co.uk
•
Click on the Login tab at the top right
•
Enter Your Login details
Note: to edit the page you will need to login using the username and password provided by Bourne BC. Although you can login with your Facebook login this will NOT allow you to edit the page is it is fairly pointless doing so.
You will now be returned to the home page but logged in as a certified user. •
Click on the Member tab
•
Find your business name and click on it
Your page will now load with an option to edit this page •
Click on ‘edit this page’ to switch to edit mode
Each item on the page is an ‘object’. Think of it as a unique box with a content inside, could be an image or a piece of text. For example. •
Click on your logo
The picture is now highlighted and the edit box shows the characteristics of the image object.
•
Click on a text box
The edit box now shows you the characteristics of the text.
•
To edit the text click on the text box again so that the edit cursor appears (shown below before the ‘O’ in Organising.)
You can now edit the text in the box. When you have finished editing the page you will need to save it. •
Click on the Home tab
You will be prompted to save the changes. Click Yes to accept any changes or No to abort. To continue editing without saving click on Cancel.
How to add additional text and image objects If you need additional text/image boxes placed on your page then contact the BBC webmaster (currently Taff Lovesey webmaster@bournebusiness.co.uk). The Moonfruit customised editing control only allows editing of existing objects unless you have full administrator rights on the site. The webmaster will need to know how many text boxes you require and a copy of the image/s you want to add.
