SCHOOL WORKS exam: projeto arquitetônico II team: hortênsia gadelha camila catunda thaís sales date: 2009.1 tutor: daniel cardoso location: icapuí, ceará This project was realized in Icapuí, in this location there are particular types of houses, most of them were constructed by their own dwellers, using a method that resisted through years, passed from parents to children. In Icapuí there are many houses in areas of risk, and in areas that don’t belong to them. Our goal was to projet many typologies of building that fit to house different types of families with different needs, and still have their identity.

A business building was the theme at this semestre. The location was in front of a large and very important avenue, called Washington Soares. The study program should contain room-offices, a recreation area with gym, auditorium and a small mall.

We start analizing de center of Fortaleza. We tried to think solutions for the high density of the center , making interventions to improve circulation of both pedestrian and cars. Fortaleza’s center is known for its low-cost market and also for its informal sales happening in inappropriated places that often block the movement of people and cars.

SCHOOL WORKS exam: projeto arquitetônico IV date: 2010.1 tutor: marcondes araújo location: prainha do canto verde, ceará Canto Verde is a beautiful beach in Ceará. The people who live there are fishers or have a little comerce. This community has always fought for their lands and space. They really care for their culture and try to preserve their own habits. In this projet our goal was to make a urbain plan for this community and organize its future growth. Each student was given a type of a buildiing. I was responsable for the study of the local culture and also the project to the residents association, which was place for reunions and important decisions, and also where people can share their own culture.

SCHOOL WORKS exam: projeto arquitetônico V team: hortênsia gadelha ana carolina barros date: 20010.2 tutor: romeu duarte location: fortaleza, ceará The program of this project was a museum for a local artist, named José Guedes. He has all types of art works using new medias like installations, paintings, drawings, sculptures. This museum had to be able to support all kinds of artworks and also hold a memorial of this artist. The land where the museum would be built was a very poor neighborhood. People who live there don’t have enough support from the govenerment, and its a very dangerous place to go. Our goal was to revitalize the neighborhood and bring a sense of pride to the people.

projet: engraving workshop date: 2009.2 tutor: pedro eymar location: fortaleza, ceará This project was concieved by the architectural and urbanism students at the Art Museum of the Federal University of Ceará. Engraving artworks are part of our culture in Ceará,. Its an old custom to use them at a poetry books which we call “cordel”. The northwest of Brasil is full of famous artists that make engraving art. Nowadays this ancient art has being forgotten by people. Trying to revitalize the old existing workshop at the museum, small classes were proposed to architecture students. Thus, were prepared some drawing positive and negative exercises , using an array of styrofoam to the woodcut.

projet: scholarship of visual arts date: 2010 tutor: pedro eymar location: fortaleza, ceará During the year 2010, I got a scholarship of visual arts at the Art Museum. Before start working at the Museum I had already organized an art exhibition during the event, Festival of Culture 2009. This exhibition had the theme of “Centennial of Patativa”, he was a great northeadstern personality, a writer who charms audiences even today. In celebration of his hundredth anniversary this exposure was performed with engraving artworks, photographs and texts taken from the collection. In 2010, I start working at the museum organizing arts exhibitions, working of the art colletion, engaged in artistic pursuits.
