Mold Awareness

Learn how to identify and understand what causes mold and the potential effects on your health. Acquire the knowledge to protect yourself when cleaning and removing mold and recognize when professionals should be contacted.

Air Pollution Control

This course prepares students to take the NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection’s Air Pollution Control Exam and the FDNY’s Certificate of Fitness Exam for #2 and #6 Low PSI Boiler. Review methods of energy conservation, identify types of fuel oil and learn how to protect air quality. Exam fees are not included in the tuition.

Tools of the Trade

Explore the names and uses of a wide range of hand and power tools used for plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repair. Learn how to clean, maintain and store tools to prolong their useful lives. Course includes 3 classroom hours plus the completion of the Online Tools of the Trade Exam.
