PERU
The Republic of Peru is South America´s third largest country. Its shores are bathed by the Pacific Ocean, and it borders with Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador. Rich in history and cultural diversity, Peru has an official language – Spanish- and 2 co-official tongues: Quechua and Aimara. The first Peruvian archeological sites date back to 11 millennia, and it was the cradle of ancient cultures such as Caral, Moche, Nazca and Inca. During the Spanish Conquista a great number of Spaniards and Africans arrived, contributing further to the cultural melting pot. As from the Colonial era and well into the 20th century Peru´s cultural landscape was enriched by immigrants from Europe, China, Japan and Arabian nations. These influences contributed to mold a unique and sophisticated society, with eclectic architecture, exquisite art and award winning local cuisine. The Andean nation boasts 12 World Heritage Sites and 8 Cultural Heritage elements that will dazzle visitors from all over the world. The 496,225 sq mi territory is divided in 3 major regions, defined by the Andean range: the coast, the highlands and the jungle. These 3 distinct regions have widely varying climates and landscapes, including deserts, high plateaus, mountain ranges, low valleys and tropical jungles. Make sure your customers have a clear idea of their itinerary, for such a vast choice of settings and ecosystems will entail different wardrobe needs. Peru has abundant natural resources, but Tourism is the country´s third largest industry, hosting over 3 million visitors annually. Entry requirements are very straightforward and most American and European countries require no visa to enter the territory. The most popular port of entry is Jorge Chávez International Airport, but tourists can also arrive by land, sea, river and through Bolivia via lake Titicaca. Invite your customers to a dazzling trip, full of magic, history and flavor!
Hoteles HOTéiS CUSCO
Cusco or Cuzco is Peru´s historical capital, and the 8th most populous city in the country. Located in the south eastern Andean range, and framed by tropical jungle, this ancient city was the Capital of the Inca Empire. The Imperial City is nestled among peaks, and has an elevation of 11,152 feet. As a result it enjoys a temperate climate all year round with two well defined seasons: wet (from November to March) and dry (from April to October). Bear in mind that temperatures drop considerably at night, and warm clothes are mandatory in all seasons. Declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983, this city has a mystical lure difficult to resist. Melting pot of Inca and Spanish heritage, we recommend including in all itineraries Cusco´s Cathedral, The Arms Square, San Blas Quarters, Hatun Rumiyuq street, Merced Convent and Church, the Jesuitic temple and Coricancha. Brimming with archeological sites, the outskirts will also attract tourists with its Moon Temple, and Tambomachay, Puka Pukara and Qenko historical sites. Starting point of choice to all Machu Pichu and Sacred Valley trips, Cusco has wide array of historical and cultural attractions that will seduce your customers. We recommend a stay of at least 3 days to fully enjoy the city, and take full advantage of its rich multicultural heritage.
Treat your customers to a journey into South America´s most mythical culture, and treat them to a royal experience!
