FROM FIRST SKETCH TO FIRST STEP If you’ve been a little curious about exactly how a Hotter shoe is created, here’s our ladies designer Kim Denton to give you a sneak peek behind the scenes of this season’s popular newcomer Lauren. At 2¾ inches tall this is one of Hotter’s highest wedge heels, but with Comfort Concept® features hidden inside Lauren’s stylish exterior you’ll find it really is a pleasure to wear.

INSPIRATION
A season starts 12 months before the shoes hit the shelves when we’re avidly checking out catwalks, key international shopping cities and colour forecasts to spot the trends we can ‘hotterise’.
INITIAL SKETCHES
Back at the office, we pool ideas, see what fits best
into product strategy and we sketch, tweak and refine many, many shoes before we

make our final selection.
TECHNICAL SPEC Technical drawings are made for each shoe; including upper, sole, lining and fastening so that patterns can be drawn up.

COLOURS AND FINISHES We play around with leather colours, linings and trimmings on the computer so we can tweak and perfect the finished look.
