Food and Drihnk Food and Drink FYIs

night away…

When it comes to wedding catering, the world is your platter. If you are having a small, intimate ‘do, you may want to spend more, treating your faves to some real culinary delights or even matching wines to go with their meal. If you’re big on numbers, keep it simple with trusty staples (beef and chicken are always winners) or go for fun food trucks that serve up burgers or pizza buffet-style. For drinks, couples are increasingly looking for something a little bit different – and a funky bar is just the ticket. The Horse’s Tipple, for example, is a refurbished horse box that doubles up as a bar and a stand-out piece of rustic décor!

Regardless of your cuisine, tipples and style of service, there are some factors to always consider:

• Does your venue offer catering? Or will you need to outsource?

• Decide on a budget and work with your supplier to see what you can afford. Bear in mind hotels, for example, may include more than just a meal for their ‘per head’ cost.

• Do you or any guests have dietary requirements? Ask them on your invitations.

• Don’t forget to taste test! Loads of couples say this is the best bit of wedding planning. ♥
