Planting Pots

Just like any other household equipments, flower vases, pots and urns need constant care.

Understanding your plant type will determine a lot during handling of your vases.

For staters;  Prepare the vase for the flowers with clean warm water -- about 100 degrees Fahrenheit -- and floral preservative. Always make sure your vase never goes dry.  For plucked flowers like roses, make sure all flower and foliage stems should be submerged.  Wash aglassvase with a solution of nine parts water to one part bleach and rinse it completely. Then, carefully strip the leaves that will be below the waterline and the guard petals --the outer petals of the rose, especially any that are browned or damaged --away, along with any thorns. NB; Always be gentle, as damaging the flower as you strip it creates a wound that will attract bacteria and fungi.

 If your flowers came in a basket or other container with foam, add fresh water every day.  Immediately remove dead or wilting leaves and stems from fresh flower arrangements.  Watch your water.

 Avoid exposure to too much rain As this may cause breakages.

 Clean daily with a wet piece of cloth  Do not remove foliage when leaves fall as this helps in ensuring the soil is rich with nutrients required by the growing plants.
