Kings Park – The jewel in the city’s crown. Kings Park is one of the world’s largest and most beautiful innercity parks and is visited by over 6 million people each year. The stunning location overlooks Perth city and the blue waters of the Swan River. Kings Park is 400.6 hectares and features both cultivated gardens and untamed bushland. Pack a picnic, take a jog or attend one of the Summer outdoor concerts.
Cottesloe Beach – You can’t visit Perth and not spend a bit of time on Perth’s pin-up beach. Feathery soft blonde sand and clear aquamarine ocean. Only a 20 minute drive from the city centre, ‘Cott’ is one of the city’s most popular spots for swimming, snorkelling, surfing and drinking in ocean sunsets over a glass of wine.
Fremantle –A port city just 30 minutes from Perth. Known for its eclectic mix of arty and alternative types, the streets are buzzing with buskers, wild collections of art and trendy cafés and bars. Be sure to check out Little Creatures Brewery, set on the waterfront, with award-winning craft beers and ales brewed on-site.
Rottnest Island –Home of the quokkas, the happiest little animal on earth! With 63 beaches to choose from you can snorkel in translucent waters, a great destination for water sports. Get around the island on a bicycle, escape the rush of the city and kick back on soft sand beaches. Only a 90 minute ferry from Barrack Street Jetty.
