General Information Accommodation Ratings To assist with the selection of your accommodation we have created our own rating system allowing you to compare each property. These are personal ratings offered by our people from their own experience and should therefore be used as a guide only. These ratings may alter throughout the year due to a change of circumstances. Moderate accommodation with a reasonable range of rooms and facilities, with rooms furnished to a comfortable standard. Superior standard of accommodation with a wide range of rooms and facilities, and a higher standard of service. First Class accommodation with an excellent range of facilities and services. Accommodation in this rating is considered among the best in the country. A half star is noted when the level of service and facilities falls between two grades. Grading accommodation can be quite subjective and generally speaking the standard and services will be in line with the price paid. Please check with your travel consultant to ensure you get the accommodation to best suit your needs. Child Policy: Please note bedding configuration varies between properties and in some cases with different room types within a property. Some hotels also offer family bonuses and specials. Your travel consultant will help you choose the hotel to best suit you and your family’s needs. NOTE: Queensland Apartments may vary in dÊcor as most holiday apartments are individually owned and then leased for holiday rentals, meaning each are individually decorated. Please also note that most apartments are serviced every 7-10 days and this is normally restricted to a change of towels, bed linen and a quick clean.

QUEENSLAND Queensland has a piece of paradise to suit everyone – it is truly like no other place on earth. From seemingly endless coastlines to the great expanses of the outback, the worldfamous Great Barrier Reef and array of luscious rainforests – you have to see it for yourself! Experience stunning destinations – travel to the tropical north for world wonders and natural serenity or head south to the state’s capital hub where you can embrace city life and surf on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast – definitely the makings of the perfect sunshine holiday. And if you are feeling adventurous, hire a car and do your own exploring, a great way to take in the rich variety of landscapes – getting around is easy with the high quality, well-signed roads. Whether you’re planning on spending a few days, a few weeks or a few months in Australia’s sunshine state, there really is so much you could pack in.
6 T I PS FO R YOU R HOLIDAY
A great option for families or a group of friends but just a few things you need to know when booking one. Each apartment is privately owned therefore the owner can choose to decorate their own unit so the apartment you book may not look like the apartment in our brochure or on our website. There are also many three level apartment buildings with NO lifts – you will need to carry your own bags up/down the stairs. These are only serviced every 7-10 days of your stay.
1 / FAMILY FUN Queensland is jam-packed with fun-filled activities and experiences to entertain the whole family, from Gold Coast to the Tropical North. Pack the beach ball, frisbee and cricket set and settle in for a day of sunshine at the beach or get the heart pumping at the theme parks – the little people will be entertained for hours! Explore rock pools, chase waterfalls, hire a bike and cycle to a shady spot or stop for an ice-cream - a fun way to explore and you may even see different aspects of the region you never knew existed. With over 300 days of sunshine you won’t struggle for things to do with the family. You are spoilt for choice with plenty of family-friendly accommodation options to choose from.

2 / LOVE IS IN THE AIR Whether you’re on a honeymoon or re-igniting the flame, experience the tranquillity of nature in the Whitsundays where you can unwind with a sensuous massage, enjoy ultimate privacy on a secluded beach or visit the renowned Whitehaven Beach by helicopter. 5 / EXPAND YOUR PALATE Stop the drooling and satisfy those hunger pangs! The importance of food is an essential part of life and Queensland will satisfy your culinary curiosity. You will find a delectable selection of food, you can buy from a food truck, decadent donut hotspot, street market or reserve a table at a fine dining restaurant – the only issue you will have is deciding what to eat! There are so many local restaurants, bars and cafés to choose from to make your money last longer while enjoying the buzzing foodie scene without burning a hole in your back pocket. Tempt your taste buds and celebrate all things food – you’ll be returning home with a full belly!
Cooloola Sandpatch, Noosa
4 / FREEDOM ON WHEELS Plenty of opportunities to bring out the ‘Sunday Driver’ in you via a range of scenic drives. Hire a car and drive at your own leisure without a care in the world as time is no issue. Either map out your road trip or just take the scenic route and stop along the way, immerse yourself in the changing landscape and taking in the different sounds. Road trips are the best way to discover all the hidden gems. Just remember, Queensland is a big state, so you won’t run out of destinations, diversions and things to see and do – your holiday can be as long as you want!
6 / SHOP O’CLOCK From international brands, discounted outlet malls to eclectic market stalls – there is something for everyone. Check out the markets for local produce, entertainment as well as arts and crafts - it is the perfect place to pick up unique items and sample tasty local food. Just remember, not a lot of the stalls will have eftpos so don’t forget to take some cash. Pick up a bargain at an outlet shopping centre offering up to 70% off or visit the local shopping mall, where all the stores are under one roof. Where ever you choose to shop there will be something with your name on it waiting to be purchased, just don’t forget your wallet! So put on your comfortable shoes and shop your heart out - find that ultimate outfit, new shoes or a high-tech gadget or simply just browse through the shop window.

EXPERIENCE FRASER COAST
Lake McKenzie, Fraser Island
Deserted sands and aqua-marine water are the very definition of a picture-perfect holiday, and Fraser Island, just 35 minutes by boat from the mainland, offers an abundance of both. The sand is as fine as flour and a dazzling shade of white. You’ll have miles upon miles of shoreline to yourself and a landscape which is virtually untouched. Climb the icy white sand dunes, kayak a creek, snorkel the bays, or simply bask in sunshine, Fraser island is the complete dream scene. July through to October is an ideal time to visit the Fraser Coast, notably for the humpback whales who frequent the coastline off Hervey Bay. Unlike anywhere else in the world, this is the only place where the whales physically stop during their annual journey to Antarctica. Pods rest idly on the water’s surface and there are ample opportunities to get unbelievably close to these 15 metre beauties. Whales aside, wildlife is one of the Fraser’s Coast’s biggest calling cards. Dolphins and dugongs are permanent residents in these parts, with the former being particularly extroverted. Embark on a Fraser Island boat trip, or nightly sunset cruise, and they’ll likely appear beside your vessel. And boy do they know they’re the town’s greatest showmen. If you require some respite from the beach, venture inland to the Fraser Coast Hinterland. This is where quaint country towns meet a lush interior, and verdant retreats bump shoulders with local farmland. Dine on the region’s finest produce, in celebrated restaurants, or duck into a local craft brewery, for something refreshing. © Vince Valitutti
