College Preparatory
Through a strong and rigorous college preparatory curriculum, Houston Christian challenges students to make new discoveries inside the classroom and beyond. HC’s faculty is comprised of exceptional educators who are passionate about what they teach and committed to challenging students to achieve academic results that exceed even their own expectations. HC graduates attend an impressive list of the nation’s most prominent colleges and universities.
Christian Community Our diverse student body is empowered to express and explore their beliefs in a supportive environment. Students say they get excited about the ways to plug in at HC which include:
Gathering with teachers for a time of worship that is both relevant and open
Studying the Bible and discussing its applications in light of current cultural issues
Making personal connections in discipleship groups (D-Groups) which are student-led and completely optional
Each student completes 16 hours of community service annually.
“However you best express your faith, HC has a way for you to share your love of God. Common faith builds an uncommon bond among us, regardless of our backgrounds.” — KATRINA ONG, HC ALUM

Global Citizens Houston Christian’s Passport to Lead Program began in the fall of 2006 with the vision to inspire young people to lead by uniting their faith, intellect and gifts to allow them to reach their greatest promise. Through this program, our students are taught to take the lead to influence people to achieve a common goal and, through this process, honor God. Leadership topics are integrated into the curriculum of every course taught at HC. Biblically-based leadership principles are taught in Bible, literature, history, mathematics, arts and athletics.
