2010-11 School Improvement Plan 1. Provide support for the ISAS Accreditation effort. On-going 2. Serve as a “test group” for internal technology changes. On-going 3. *Lead an effort to reconfigure the current structure of parent organizations at HCHS. – On-going *The committee’s main work will focus this year on Goal #3. The committee’s work on the reconfiguration of the current structure of HC parent organizations has been commendable and valuable in HC’s Good to Great efforts. As the school has written and adapted new institutional and departmental goals, the administration believes that this effort focusing on a new parent organization format will solidify the parent community of HCHS in the move from Good to Great. The group has focused on philosophy, mission, purpose, goals, and benefits the proposed parent organization would generate. Primary among those benefits would be a sense of community, fellowship, service, and volunteerism experienced by both parents and students. Work continues on this effort. The 2010-2011 Annual Parent Survey The ISAS Accreditation requires three surveys for the self-study (began in Jan. 2010). This year’s CAT generated survey for parents was replaced by the ISAS Parent Survey conducted in April, 2010. Results were very supportive of HC and its programs with an average of 3.58 out of a possible 4.0 rating. Survey results are available for review in the ISAS Self-Study Report.

Many thanks to the members of the Campus Advisory Team for their work on behalf of HCHS. We truly appreciate and value our wonderful parents who serve so unselfishly throughout the year to move HCHS from “Good to Great”.
