Families of 9 and 10 graders have the opportunity to guarantee their tuition rate for the next four years or three years, respectively. Under the guaranteed tuition rate plan, the annual tuition for the student will remain constant for each future year the student reenrolls. This election is irrevocable; it cannot be changed once the contract is signed and accepted. Guaranteed rates are not available to new students in the 11 or 12 grade. The Activity Fee covers a variety of programs and activities such as student accident insurance, class retreats, annual laptop expenses (virus protection and software licenses), commencement, Prom, and yearbook. Other fees may be charged on a user basis only. The New Student Fee is a one-time charge per student which supports the ongoing mission and campus facilities of HC. DUE WITH CONTRACT Tuition Deposit of $1,000 (non-refundable) is due with return of the contract. PAYMENT OPTIONS There are 3 payment options available to pay the balance of tuition and fees (after amounts due with contract above). ACH Direct Debit from bank accounts is mandatory for all families selecting Two or Ten Payments. Tuition is due by June 30 for the One Payment Plan. Payments may be drafted on th th either the 5 or the 20 of the month under the two-payment and ten-payment plans. TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM The cornerstone of the technology program is the one-to-one laptop initiative. Therefore, every new student is required to purchase a laptop computer from the school. The cost of the laptop with software, four-year warranty, theft and accidental damage coverage was $2,300 for the 2011-12 school year. The 2012-13 pricing will not be available until May 2012 but is expected to decrease to approximately $2,000. TEXTBOOKS All students are required to purchase textbooks adopted by the school. The cost of textbooks will vary by student from $250 - $600 depending on the choice and availability of used textbooks. TRIPS The school offers several national and international trips through its “Beyond These Walls� programs. These trips are optional, and the cost of these trips is not included in tuition. Class trips, and trips connected with educational programs such as Passport to Lead and Distinguished Scholars, are included in, or significantly subsidized by, tuition and fees.
