The John and Ingrid Werler Society The Werler Society is a group of steadfast donors who choose to leave a personal legacy at the Houston Zoo and invest in our future by making gifts through their estates. After a concerted effort to engage and grow this group in recent years, we have identified millions of dollars in planned gifts that will contribute to the Zoo’s long-term financial stability. More importantly, The Werler Society allows us to connect with and thank these generous supporters. At an intimate breakfast event in November, Lee Ehmke, CEO, provided insider Zoo updates to our members. This was the first of many annual Werler Society events to come.
