Beginner Digital Photography

Do you have a fancy digital camera but only know how to use the auto function? In the first half of the class we will learn basic beginner photography skills such as aperture and shutter speed, composition skills, and lighting. In the second half, we will walk outside with a child model and apply what we learned. In addition, you will leave with several project ideas to continue practicing once you have left the classroom. Belly Dance Basics

All levels welcome in this fun class dedicated to teaching and practicing the ancient art of belly dance. Learn classic Egyptian Style, American Cabaret/Vintage Oriental and Tribal Fusion technique. No matter what your dance experience from the true beginner to the professional, this class will challenge and inspire you. Belly Dance Choreography

This class pairs nicely with the Belly Dance Basics Class (some belly dance experience recommended). Put the technique to use in beautiful and fun combos and choreographies. We will dance this beautiful age old dance in a safe judgement free space. This class will also introduce the use of props as a dancing tool.

Day Time Tap Dance

Classes are organized and progressed in 3-4 month blocks. If you cannot start at the beginning of a block or wish to ‘jump in’ at any time, you can always consider taking a few private lessons to get caught up. Intro to Tap: Start learning the basics, grasping the techniques, putting it all together to learn some easy choreography. Join us for a great way to get some exercise, meet new friends, and have fun. Tap shoes optional for first couple of classes. Will Seminar is a simple one-step class which provides a Notarized will, general power of attorney, medical power of attorney, and living will by the end of the seminar for each attendee from an experienced estate planning attorney. This class provides finished estate planning documents at a fraction of the typical cost. Safety

Women’s Self Defense Class

We start by discussing the importance of staying aware and being “smart” on the street and at home. We will then teach the basic strikes necessary to fend off an attacker. At this point, the instructor puts on a full padded body suit which enables the participants to land real strikes. Finally, we spend most of the class role playing some different type of attacks that women may face from a predator. This four-hour classroom refresher is designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, new laws, local driving problems, and license renewal requirements. Learn to Golf Clinics

HRCA Sports is proud to partner with Highlands Ranch Golf Club to bring Learn to Golf Clinics to HRCA Members! Designed for the beginner to intermediate golfer, set in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The goals of the instructors are to focus on player development and making an easy transition from the practice range to the golf course. These clinics cover a wide variety of golf topics including full swing, chipping, putting and etiquette. Bring your own clubs or HRGC does have complementary clubs available for use during clinics as well. Please check www. HRCAonline.org/register for specific class offerings. Classes are typically offered late spring through early fall.

Adult TKD (Ages 14+)

Join our adult classes and do things you never thought you could do! Classes are for adults of all ages, regardless of your physical fitness or athletic ability. Taekwondo improves cardio fitness, muscle tone, flexibility, and coordination. Students learn important self-defense skills and are more confident and focused as a result of their Taekwondo training. Northridge Indoor Pool Ranch H2O: T,Th, 6:30-7:30 a.m. Learn how to swim laps to increase your fitness in a supportive and friendly program. Should be able to swim half a pool length in any fashion and swim for one hour. Tri H2O: M,W, 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. For beginner to advanced triathlon swimmers. Program focuses building endurance, gaining speed, and increasing confidence. Mid-Day Masters: T,Th,F, 9:15 - 10:45 a.m. For intermediate to advanced swimmers who swim 500 yds. freestyle, and swim for 1-1/2 hours. Improve fitness and endurance with stroke technique and drill work. Power Masters: M,W, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a challenging workout while fine tuning your stroke technique, increasing strength, speed, and endurance. Should be able to swim 500 yards.
