Summer is here! Historically, the gentle warmth of the month caused flowers to blossom, crops to sprout, and people to dance. At HRCA, the spirit of summer-time merriment remains to this day as our community celebrates the beginning of summer. What is one to say about June, the initiation of summer warmth, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and fulfilled days lie on the horizon. The Eastridge renovation project is underway. The rotunda and administrative offices will be receiving a major facelift; utilizing space in a more efficient manner and providing a more conducive area to provide administrative services for residents. The public awareness campaign has been initiated to share and seek input from the community about the proposed Backcountry Conservation Center. Please visit our web site at www.HRCAonline.org for additional information. Centennial Water and Sanitation District, the water provider for Highlands Ranch is preparing for a dry spring. Recently, a drought watch went into effect which means they have concerns about the amount of water that will be available, due to dry soils and windy conditions. To aid in conservation, Centennial offers rebates to replace your grass with low water alternative and to replace your sprinkler nozzles with high efficiency nozzles. They also offer the Slow the Flow program, which helps you dial in your sprinkler system so that it operates as efficiently as possible. Further information about rebates and programs can be found at the link https://www.centennialwater.org/ conservation/rebates-and-incentives.
HRCA’s Summer Event calendar has been finalized and all our offerings are enumerated on our web page www.HRCAonline.org. The outside pools are slated open later this month and hours of operation can also be found on our web site. My best, Mike
(ER Renovation continued from page 1 During this renovation, our main entrance to the facility will be closed and not accessible. • Residents will enter through the running track at the “top of the hill” via a temporary access control desk. • Children programs in the youth wing will enter through the patio entrance adjacent to the youth wing. • We will have an alternate entrance for wheelchair and stroller entrance available upon request through the gymnasium. • Beginning May 27, the outdoor pools open and the best entrance for the aquatic areas will be through the outdoor pool parking lot. We are excited for this renovation project and facelift and appreciate your patience during this process. Westridge, Southridge and Eastridge will remain open and available for your workout needs. Please visit our web site at www.HRCAonline.org/eastridge for more information and continuous updates on the project.
