Enhancing property values and creating quality of life through recreation, community events and leadership
February 2013
2013 HRCA ELECTIONS BEGIN Your voice can be heard and you can make a difference by getting involved in our community. The HRCA has elections each year for Directors and District Delegates. Directors are elected by District Delegates in March at the Annual Meeting of Delegates and serve staggered two-year terms. There are five Director positions, two of which are up for election. Deadline for Board Candidate Applications is January 31. Delegates are elected by their district constituents in April. This year we will hold elections in oddnumbered and vacant districts. Find out more by going to the web site at www.HRCAonline.org/ leadership.
w ho is m y d elegate ? Highlands Ranch is divided into neighborhood “districts.” Each district has an elected “delegate.” This delegate is your voice for community and Association matters. Delegates gather monthly, the third Tuesday of each month, for the Delegate Meeting at Eastridge. Delegates make recommendations to the Board of Directors on important matters that impact our community. You can (and should) contact your delegate to keep up to date on what’s going on in the Ranch. You can find your delegate on the map at www.HRCAonline.org/Districtmap.
scholarshi p s available The Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund provides $1000 scholarships for graduating seniors residing in Highlands Ranch or attending a Highlands Ranch high school. Now is the time to apply—the deadline for submittal is Friday, March 1st. Visit www.HRCAonline.org/hrcsf for more information and to download an application.
C alling all non p ro f its We are seeking a beneficiary for the HRCA’s silent auction at The Taste of Highlands Ranch in May. Applications may be downloaded at www.HRCAonline.org/vendors or pick one up at any HRCA Recreation Center. Application deadline is March 1.

The HRCA web site (www.HRCAonline.org) is one of your best resources for information about the HRCA and Highlands Ranch. The HRCA continues to provide and maintain programs and facilities, for a low cost, to almost 100,000 people. We continue to strive to provide better customer service by soliciting your input through many different mediums. I personally review all of the suggestion cards that come into our facilities. Over the last six months we have sent out major contracts that involved trash, legal, IT, and auditing services.
