January 2014

WINTER CULTURAL SERIES The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association is proud to present the 2014 Winter Cultural Series! The quality entertainment you’d find downtown without the hassle of actually going downtown! From ballet to Broadway this series features some of the best performers in the area! We begin the series on January 9 with the Boulder Brass. The Boulder Brass has been thrilling audiences throughout the United States for nearly two decades and is consistently lauded for its virtuosity and brilliance, as well as its engaging programming. Following the Boulder Brass is Danse Etoile Ballet on January 23, performing an eclectic mix of contemporary dance mixed with classical ballet movements. The series continues on February 6 when we bring back a crowd favorite – The Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra playing a pops concert with music from 80’s and 90’s pop hits to Motown and jazz. The 19 piece band truly is the premier jazz orchestra of Denver. On February 20 we bring Broadway's Best to Highlands Ranch in this rare performance. Four vocalists and six dancers transport you to New York City's Broadway with hits from Anything Goes, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, and more! All performances take place in the chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door, if not sold out. Purchase at any HRCA rec center or online at www.HRCAonline.org/tickets.

BUDGET – As many of you know, the Board approved the 2014 budget in November RECREATION CENTERS

was the supplemental adjustment, the second was an option to fail to set the assessment,
