winter cultural series Treat yourself to the experiences of a variety of wonderful cultural performances, right here in Highlands Ranch. This series of four Thursday night performances pairs the best of song and dance without the hassles and prices of downtown entertainment. We begin the series with a wonderful ballet performance by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance's Cleo II and Youth Ensemble on January 10. They will perform various selections and allow audience participation. The Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, Denver’s premier 18 piece big band presents its diverse repertoire of classic and cutting edge selections on January 17. The series continues when Cherry Creek Chorale brings their 100 piece group to perform audience favorites on February 7. We conclude on February 14 when Central City Opera performs Love Notes – for a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association, the SCFD, Cherry Hills Community Church, and Littleton Adventist Hospital are proud to make the arts enjoyable and accessible for all! Don’t miss out on this fantastic lineup! All shows are at the beautiful Cherry Hills Community Church, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tickets for each performance are just $7 in advance. You can now buy advance tickets online (see details on page 4), at any recreation center, or call 303-471-8859. Tickets are $10 the day of the event (cash or check only), $5 for children 12 and under, and free for children two and under. All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be issued. For more information, visit www.HRCAonline.org.

HRCA has a New Year’s resolution of its own in 2013. The Covenants Department is changing its name to “Community Improvement Services” which better identifies its mission. With the name change comes a number of improvements that will allow the department to streamline operations and extend better customer service to our residents and commercial stakeholders. The new duties and community outreach that the department will be implementing in the coming year will be directly tied to a partnership with neighborhoods and businesses. The goal is to be a friendly and helpful partner that will be improving property values while also acting as a community partner to residents and businesses.
