h i g h l a n d s r a n c h d ay s Join us at the historic Highlands Ranch Mansion September 5-7, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. where the old west comes to life with a fur trapper, gold panning, wool spinning, horse drawn hay rides, a petting zoo, and much more! Entertainment features songs and dance performances by Native American dancers, banjo music, and a raptor program. Hands-on exhibits and mansion tours will also be available. Tickets (available only at the gate) are $4 for adults (ages 13 and up) and $2 for children (ages 2 and under are free). Join us Saturday morning September 7, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. for the annual Highlands Ranch Lions Club Pancake Breakfast. Feast on pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee while enjoying the beautiful and peaceful grounds of the mansion. The breakfast is a separate cost (adults are $7, children under 12 are $4) from the Highlands Ranch Days event admission. The mansion parking lot will be closed all day on Saturday September 7, so plan to park at Mountain Vista High School parking lot and take the free shuttle to the Mansion. Shuttle rides to the event will be available on Saturday from Mountain Vista High School to the Mansion, starting at 7:30 a.m. for the pancake breakfast and Highlands Ranch Days.

Oktoberfest Gather your family and friends together on Saturday, September 21 for food, music and entertainment, dancing, and of course great German bier. Oktoberfest is a cultural experience with entertainment that is sure to delight the little ones while you and your friends imbibe in authentic German cuisine and bier, all while enjoying a beautiful Colorado evening. Bring your Dachshund for the annual Dachshund Races at 3:00 p.m. Registration is 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and a prize for the best dressed Dachshund! It’s an evening of non-stop entertainment for the kids, too. Children will enjoy magic, balloons, and games to their heart’s content. Start the day off with the Oktoberfest 5K at 8:30 a.m. then stick around for the German festivities starting at noon! More 5K information can be found at www.highlandsranchrunseries.com.

J u l y F o u r t h F i r e w o r k s a t Ok t o b e r f e s t ? Yes, the Oktoberfest event will close with a bang with the fireworks show that was rescheduled from the Fourth of July. The show is scheduled to launch (weather permitting) at 9:30 p.m. at Town Center Drive and Sgt. Jon Stiles Drive.
