What’s to do in September: The HRCA continues to add programs, events, and classes that have been modified to comply with COVID regulations, there is still plenty to do. Logistics associated with events and programs are constantly being worked on, so please refer to the web site at www.HRCAonline.org for the most up to date information. Mask Mandate: In accordance with the Governor’s State Executive Order D 2020 138, masks are required for anyone over the age of 10 for entry into the recreation centers. Maskwearing requirements apply to everyone indoors, including people exercising. If you are in an indoor room with any other patron who are not a part of your household, then you need to wear a mask. Many of these Executive Orders change, so please continue to check our web site for the latest status of our recreation centers) https://covid19.colorado.gov/maskguidance#mask

2021 Budget Planning: The HRCA budget is prepared by staff and reviewed by the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee is comprised of homeowners who are finance professionals and volunteer their time to help develop the annual budget. COMMUNITY NEWS Community Improvement Services The Summer season is just about behind us and cooler days will hopefully be here soon. Residents throughout Highlands Ranch have been working hard building new decks, creating outdoor living areas, changing paint colors, and adding all kinds of fun play equipment. Thanks for all the efforts to keep Highlands Ranch looking amazing! The Community Improvement Services Department has been equally busy since re-opening our doors to the public on June 1. Below is a quick recap of the ways we have been working with our community during the past 60 days of these summer months. •

Logged approximately 14,700 phone calls and inquiries.

Sent out over 3,500 letters of non-compliance for various issues.

Processed more than 1,200 home improvement submittals of the 1,800 submittals that arrived either online or in person at our office. Several of the submittals required additional information- please be sure to submit all requested documents when submitting online. It helps you and us!

We are continuing to work hard as this crazy season winds down and appreciate our residents having patience during the busiest time of year. Do not hesitate to reach out to us Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. either in person or by phone at 303-471-8821. We have a wealth of valuable information for you on the web site as well at www.HRCAonline.org/Covenants. Currently, we are in the process of re-vamping our portion of the HRCA web site to be even more user friendly and support our residents with the most current information. Stay tuned.

Watering Tips for Hot Dry Conditions As the hot, dry conditions in Colorado continue, maintaining a healthy landscape around your home while trying to conserve water can be challenging. Proper landscape maintenance throughout the year promotes healthy landscapes that can remain beautiful, even with less water. Our water provider, Centennial Water & Sanitation District, wants us to keep in mind, less is more. Water budgets start to decrease this time of year and outdoor water use should be dialed back accordingly. If you have dry spots, hand water those areas and you will use less water than if you water the entire lawn. Deep, infrequent watering promotes a deeper, healthier root system. By cutting back on the number of days you water, you are promoting healthy root growth in your landscape, which helps ensure it will survive through the winter months. This chart is a helpful tool that provides suggested irrigation run times through October. For more information, visit Centennial Water’s web site at centennialwater.org or send an email to info@highlandsranch.org.

FINANCE COMMITTEE POSITION OPEN The Finance Committee is a group of Highlands Ranch homeowner volunteers with expertise in finance and accounting who make recommendations to the Board on monthly financials, the annual audit, and the budget process, as well as other financially related items. Members assist the board in ensuring that financial records conform to generally accepted accounting principles and the provisions of the HRCA Declaration. This committee meets monthly. If you are interested in joining this committee or would like additional information, please email annie.vincent@hrcaonline.org, or call 303-471-8802.

ASSESSMENTS: Did you know? • All four recreation centers now have both an indoor AND outdoor drop box for your convenience. • eStatements are convenient, direct to your email with no worry about mail getting lost and helps HRCA go GREEN. Sign up for estatements here: https://highlandsranch.opt-e-mail. com/signup. • 37% of our homeowners pay by automatic payments. It is fast, convenient, and removes an item from your quarterly to do list.
