NEW RESIDENT SERVICES CLASS!

Beginning September 28th, our newly hired Resident Services Supervisors will be able to attend a Live It Leadership for RSS class! Each month our new Resident Services Supervisors will meet at Hawthorne’s corporate office in Greensboro, NC for a leadership boot camp – maintenance style.

Throughout this 1½ day event, our new leaders will be able to:

• Apply best practices that will help motivate and manage their service teams • Identify how to handle common risk-related circumstances • Demonstrate how to prepare for and respond to emergency situations • Interpret their community’s maintenance spending and how it relates to their budgets • Discover proven service request and make-ready methods • Explain Hawthorne’s expectations on many daily safety-related items • And much more!

Last month our Sr. Director of Training & Operations Support, Zack Baranick, presented to our corporate office employees a fantastic, thought-provoking lunch n’ learn on Kaizen. Kaizen is a Japanese term for continuous improvement which simply means “change for the better”. During the class, attendees were shown how they can develop a mindset that is constantly searching for ways to improve; both in their personal and professional lives. This terrific group enthusiastically tackled common challenges each of us run into every day, discovered opportunities, and came up with ideas on how to resolve them. Be on the lookout for more corporate lunch n’ learns in the months ahead and be sure to reserve your seat early!
