Curses, Covenants of Death & Wicked Soul-Ties (Part 1 of 3 - curses) Dearest beloved and esteemed of the most high Elohim, Shalom Aleichem! (Peace be upon you!) Once again I find that I am greatly burdened in my heart for the body of Messiah. This burden is born out of recent events and circumstances that have caused me to realize anew just how unprepared / underprepared we are for the days directly ahead. Why is this? It is mostly due to our vast ignorance of eternal spiritual principles and precepts, from “The Scriptures”. This is nothing new! “My people have perished for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being priest for Me. Since you have forgotten “The Torah” (The Instructions) of your Elohim, I also forget your children.” ~ Hoshea 4:6 My primary motivation for writing this is because I have many friends and family members in Messiah who are needlessly suffering in their finances and in their life circumstances. Many compound their present affliction by openly impugning the character of their Groom, because they do not understand the spiritual nature of the provision and protection that we have been guaranteed as partakers of His covenant of betrothal. Hebrews 13:5-6 ~ Amplified Bible (AMP) 5

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [Elohim] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, 3

[I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] 6

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Master is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? I have previously written about this covenant on my blog site. http://revelation1910.wordpress.com/2012/06/24/the-marriage-covenant/

While it is absolutely true that we live in a world filled with every evil and great suffering because of the curse of sin and death, that does not automatically preclude that, that is the reason we are presently suffering in our lives. Most often it is our pride that wants to point the finger at the devil, this world, or even Yahweh Himself, rather than accept the personal responsibility for our present suffering. We do not want to readily accept the possibility that it very well might have been something we have done, or even something we haven’t done, which was the very catalyst of our present circumstance.

Unfortunately, pride will even lead us to the delusional belief that, that which we are presently suffering, as a result of our own sinful choices, is actually because of worldly or devilish persecution, due to our faith in Messiah. The greater majority of us are not suffering a “Job” like trial of our faith. Once again, it is absolutely true we will suffer abandonment, loneliness, persecutions, loss, pain, hardship, tribulations of every kind, and even death for the Messiah’s sake (Matt 10:17-22, Acts 14:22 & 2Tim 3:12). However, more often than not, this is not the primary reason most of us suffer in our present life circumstance. This is especially true for those believers who live in the western world and developing nations.

In case you did not know it, we are in a war (Shemoth / Ex 15:3, Eph 6:10-18 & 2Cor 10:3-6)! This war is an all out, no holds barred, battle between the Heavenly host and haSatan and his host. They are 4

fighting over us! (The whole human race and believers in the Messiah in particular!) Our adversary is over 6,000 years old and does not sleep. Just how formidable an enemy do you think they are? I submit to you, if it was not for the mercies of Heaven, mankind would have ceased to exist long ago and the community of Messianic believers would have also ceased to exist, right along with the rest of humanity. It is important to be cognizant of this reality because a certain degree of strategy is needed to wage war effectually and keep our losses to a minimum. These strategies are taught in our field manual, “The Scriptures”. Our enemy knows that we cannot be defeated as a result of any direct assault. (See Bemidbar / Numbers 22-24, Phil 1:21) This has been proven repeatedly throughout the ages and is recorded in the pages of “The Scriptures”, as well as the annals of history. This only leaves the enemy with one other option; subtly deceiving us, through the prideful wickedness of our own hearts, to inflict / afflict ourselves. The remainder of this teaching will inform us of three of the most effective ways that they have done this over the ages. Yahoshua made a very specific promise to us almost 2,000 years ago, “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” Is this promise being fulfilled in your daily walk with the Messiah? There was a time in my life that I did not know the fullness of this promise either. However, today, my wife and I know this promise is true, and we experience the fullness of it, every day of our lives. This is our hope and prayer for you too! First you have to know…

The Rules Are the Rules Even though we understand and know that Elohim loves us, we must still understand and know that there are rules. There are many, many rules and laws that govern the world and universe, which we need to understand and respect. For instance, if I jumped off the 5

Empire State building in New York City, it would not be Elohim who was out to get me, but gravity surely would. The spiritual laws that we are going to be studying and searching out by “The Scriptures” are just as valid and real, as the laws of gravity and science. It does not matter if you are ignorant to the spiritual principles that govern this universe and your life; they are still at work whether you know them, acknowledge them, or even believe them to be real. “The Scriptures” calls this the law of sowing and reaping or the law of seed time and harvest time. It says, “Be not deceived; Elohim is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” ~ Galatians 6:7-8 Let’s take a look at the example of a fruit tree in the natural realm. Imagine a man has a citrus tree in his yard and it has produced inedible fruit year after year, no matter what remedy he tried to resolve the problem. Would it make any sense for that man to pick off all of its fruit each year, so that he could permanently be rid of it? No, of course not! Why not? Obviously, getting rid of the fruit does not solve the problem. The next harvest season he would have to go through the same exercise all over again. If he desires to permanently be rid of the rotten fruit from his yard, and get it out of his life altogether, then he needs to stop dealing with just the fruit of the problem. He needs to take the necessary and drastic action of rooting up the entire tree, and removing it out of the yard and his life, all together. In the exact same way most of us are dealing with our problems of addiction, destructive habits, hang-ups, sickness or poverty by dealing mostly with the symptom, not the actual illness itself. We exhaust most of our time, energy and resources focusing on the fruit of our sickness, instead of identifying and dealing with the root of it. 6

TWO PRIMARY CURSES EVERY BELIEVER WILL ENCOUNTER For the believer in Messiah Yahoshua, there are two primary curses that must be dealt with. This can only be done through effective spiritual warfare. We must be constantly vigilant and maintain the good fight against these curses, from being empowered the remainder of our lives. I will state right here, right now, for the record, that the primary catalysts for any curse to be empowered in a Messianic believer’s life, is UNFORGIVENESS!!! The first primary curse is most familiarly known as a generational curse. Unfortunately, so much misinformation is being taught on this subject, that most believers do not really know what a generational curse is, much less how to obtain victory over it. The following explanation of generational curses is an excerpt from a book, which I hope to have published soon, called, “The Power of Deliverance”.

Generational Curses ~ A Primary Cause of the Curse in Every Believer’s Life More often than not, our deepest wounds are inflicted by our wounded and hurting parents. They are completely powerless to stop wounding their own children’s spirit, until they find the power of deliverance for themselves. This principle is exactly why so many children grow up repeating their parent’s negative extremes. They have witnessed firsthand, the fruit of destruction in their parent’s lives. Deep inside they resolve that they will never grow up to be like their parents. They promise themselves that they will never become… an alcoholic, for example. What they do not realize is that…

LIKE GIVES BIRTH TO LIKE 7

Science is discovering more and more, each day, that there is much more encoded in our DNA than previously thought. Genetically, we are predisposed to carry on with what we have inherited through our genes, for good or for evil. This is what is sometimes referred to as a generational curse. Just like alcoholism and drug addictions tend to run in family trees, so do certain types of cancers and tumors. In addition, relational and sexual behaviors / addictions also tend to run in the family. Generational curses or sicknesses by themselves are not inherently the problem though. By now you probably realize that the real problem is the wounded spirit. The real culprit is the breached / broken / wounded spirit that we need to be delivered from. “By sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” ~ Mishle / Proverbs 15:13b When parents find the power of deliverance and freedom for their lives, by the power of “Scripturally” defined forgiveness, they are able to pass this legacy on to their children. Parents cannot pass something onto their children, that they themselves do not possess. For example: many children absolutely despise alcohol and drugs, because they have witnessed its destructive power in their parent’s lives. However, even though they despise it, they do not realize that they are genetically predisposed to it and their undiagnosed, untreated, broken spirit demands to be fed. It is this cause and effect relationship that the, “The Scriptures” teach is the curse that follows from one generation to the next. There is nothing whatsoever mystical or magical about this. It is simply “The Scripture’s” way of defining and explaining what happens in the home that does not know and trust in Elohim with all their heart, soul, and strength, to make them whole.

8

The home that has not experienced Elohim as Savior, Master, Deliverer and Healer will ultimately suffer for it. The generational curse that the whole household is suffering under, is the root and the fruit and all of its ugly and evil consequences.

What Exactly Is Scripturally Defined Forgiveness? “Scripturally” defined, forgiveness is probably one of the least understood “Scriptural” teachings and mandates in the world today. Speaking from personal experience, I know this is especially true of the “Christian” and Messianic world. Everyone knows that we are supposed to forgive. Most of us know in our hearts that it is for the best to forgive. Everyone desires to be forgiven by Elohim, and most of the time we also desire to be forgiven by those that we have offended. Many times the problem does not lie with our desire or willingness to forgive. Instead the problem is usually with our lack of knowledge and understanding, of what true forgiveness is. We do not know how Elohim defines forgiveness. Consequently we will not experience the complete and total freedom that He desires for us, through forgiveness. Without the correct knowledge of “Scripturally” defined forgiveness we often find ourselves completely frustrated. More often than not, we feel like hapless resigned failures to complete the task. Most that I have met, who are continually failing in their lives, are above all failing in this area! Before we define what “Scriptural” forgiveness is, we must first acknowledge that we must forgive from our hearts! Forgiveness is not an option! If we want to be free at heart we must forgive! We will never be free from addiction, destructive behavior, and many body originating sicknesses, until we choose to forgive. Yahweh wants us to be free. He made us to be free. This is a self-evident truth that 9

we can each inherently recognize. For us to be completely free, we must learn forgiveness as He teaches forgiveness, as taught by “The Scriptures”. We must forgive as Elohim has forgiven each one of us. Every promise in “The Scriptures” is 100% true! “The Scriptures” teaches this of itself. “For all the promises of Elohim in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the esteem of Elohim by us.” ~ 2Corinthians 1:20. Listen carefully with the ears of your heart to just one of “The Scripture’s” many promises concerning forgiveness. These promises of Elohim were spoken by the Master Yahoshua almost 2,000 years ago. “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” ~ Matthew 6:14-15. (Note: Trespass is just another name for sin.) Later on in this study, we will see that every trespass of the elect has been paid in full, and has thus been forgiven. This was done at, and on the cross of the Savior of the world, Yahoshua ha MaShiach. It is an absolute fact that “The Scriptures” never contradicts itself. Intellectual honesty will admit that there are instances when, at a glance there are seeming contradictions in “The Scriptures”. However, each and everyone have proven to be non-contradicting to the spiritual mind of everyone, who carefully studies out the entire Word of Elohim. Now, because “The Scriptures” does not contradict itself and because the elect of Elohim have all been forgiven for all of our debt in full, we can reasonably conclude this promise is not talking about whether or not we have actually been forgiven or not. What could this promise of Yahoshua possibly be talking about then? By the full counsel of “The 10

Scriptures” it is reasonable to conclude that it is actually speaking of us experiencing the power of Heaven’s love in and through our lives, because we have forgiven as He has instructed us by “The Scriptures”.

You Will Experience the Power of Deliverance by Correctly Understanding Heaven’s Forgiveness For You! Let me illustrate this promise for you, by sharing with you the following anecdote. Let us suppose the power is connected at your house of residence, and is on a live power grid. Your electric bill has been paid and it is up to date. A friend or family member decides to drop by for casual visit. When they enter your home, they observe that you do not have a single light or appliance plugged in, or turned on. In addition, despite the weather outside you do not have either the air conditioner or the electric heat running. Now, please tell me, how does it benefit you to have electricity connected to your home? What good is the power source to you, if you do not avail yourself to its many uses, benefits and comforts? In almost the exact same way, everyone’s sin has been paid for in full by Elohim, Himself! However, most of the people in the world are not experiencing the full benefit of this, or even worse no benefit at all! (“The Scriptures” defines our sin as all of our wrong doing and our wrong standing before Elohim.) That our sin is paid for in full is taught in my favorite “Scripture” verse, Colossians 2:14. “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;” A more careful study of the word that is found in the Greek text for “ordinances that was against us” reveals that it is actually the cheirographon (pronounced khā-ro'-grä-fon). The primary meaning of this word, is the actual true bill of indebtedness, that is personally 11

owed by the debtor, which must be repaid at a specific, appointed and predetermined time. By the way of Colossians 2:14 Elohim is communicating to everyone of us that our personal bill of indebtedness, which we each individually owe Him, was charged in full to Yahoshua ha MaShiach. Our Father in Heaven nailed our debt-note to the cross of His only begotten son Yahoshua. It was on the cross that Yahoshua paid for our sin / debt in full with, and by, His shed blood. This is stated similarly in 1Yahonan 2:2 “And he (Yahoshua) is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” Propitiation (pro-pit-i-a-tion) is another way of saying Yahoshua became our sin, so that we could become Yahweh’s righteousness. This thought is restated exactly as I have explained it in 2Corinthians 5:21, “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of Elohim in Him.” Remember, according to Colossians 2:14 our debt was not only charged to Yahoshua, and paid for in full, it was also blotted out of the record all together. Think about this marvelous promise! All the sin of every man, and its required debt payment to Elohim has been blotted out of the record of history, and for all time and eternity! No matter what wrong you have done in the past, are doing in the present, and are going to do in the future, Elohim has already taken care of it. This is only possible because Elohim is eternal. He is beyond all time and space dimension. His favor and His working out of our salvation are also beyond all time and space. 12

“Who hath saved us, and called us with a set-apart calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and favor, which was given us in Yahoshua ha MaShiach before the world began.” ~ 2Timothy 1:9 Ephesians 1:4 tells of this marvelous Truth in another similar fashion, “According as He hath chosen us in Him (Yahoshua) before the foundation of the world, that we should be set-apart and without blame before Him in love.” Finally, Revelation 13:8b speaks to us of the absolute Truth that our sin, and debt incurred was dealt with, from the eternal perspective, before sin ever entered into the world. …“the Lamb (Yahoshua) slain from the foundation of the world.” This is simply beyond all our comprehension. To attempt to illustrate this vast concept, consider the simple geometric line. We know from elementary math, that in theory, a line goes onto infinity in both directions. Now, consider your life in relation to the line by marking a single dot anywhere on the line. Now, ask yourself, was Heaven’s plan of salvation in place before I was ever born? Was I completely forgiven, before I even took my first breath on the day I was born? Can you answer yes to both questions by the authority of “The Scriptures”? Now you can begin to understand how you can be, and already are, forgiven for sins you haven’t even thought of sinning yet. We will cover the two parts of knowing this benefit more fully, and all of Elohim’s benefits for us in a later chapter. The first part of experiencing all of Heaven’s benefits to us is Elohim’s responsibility, the second part is ours! The promise of complete forgiveness is repeated in YeshaYahu / Isaiah 43:25. 13

“I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” Mismore / Psalm 103:12 also promises us, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.” Even further assurance of Elohim’s permanently dealing with our sin by the forgiveness of the cross is found in Micah 7:18-19. “Who is a Elohim like unto Thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger forever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” By the promise of Elohim’s Word you now know that you are forgiven, and understand exactly what that means to Elohim, and what it should mean to you too. Friend, I want to ask you personally, “What good is it to have all your sins forgiven, if you never avail yourself to the power and benefits afforded to you by it?” It is wonderful to be forgiven. (Ephesians.1:7) It is even more wonderful to become a child of Elohim, by being born again, by putting your faith in the saving work of the cross and the power of the resurrection. (Yahonan / John 3:3) It is also wonderful to know that your eternal future is secure, because you have put your full and complete trust in Yahoshua ha MaShiach, and not in dead religious works. (Titus 3;5-8, Ibrim / Hebrews 6:1-2) By now you might be asking, “What about the benefits of being forgiven right here and now?” How do we experience this power while we are still on this side of Heaven?

14

How does one experience the abundant life Yahoshua promised in Yahonan / John 10:10b? “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” How do we experience the overflowing of the Set-apart Spirit’s power unto love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, meekness, self control, patience, righteousness, holiness, etc… How do we experience true and lasting freedom? How do we escape from the prison of sickness, addiction and pain which we have made for ourselves, through the self destruction of our body, mind, emotions and spirit? In other words how do we connect the dots to make the Truth about what “The Scriptures” teach about forgiveness work for us individually and personally?

YOU WILL ONLY EXPERIENCE YOUR DELIVERANCE BY CORRECTLY UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT TRULY MEANS TO FORGIVE! It is vital to remember that as we answer these questions, we are instructed over and over again in “The Scriptures” that we must forgive! We must forgive!! We must forgive!!! Luke 17:4 ~ “And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day… thou shalt forgive him.” Matthew 18:21-22 ~ “Then came Kepha to Him, and said, Master, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Yahoshua saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Wow! Did you really get that? I mean, WOW! Realistically, Heaven’s standard of how we must apply true forgiveness to our daily lives is 100% impossible, by every human standard! Do not despair! 15

Even though it is impossible for you and I to measure up to Heaven’s standard, Elohim has made a way for us to be able to forgive each and every offense! In my life time I have heard many lessons taught on Mark 11:12-14 and 20-26. Most of these sermons and teachings centered their focus and attention on verses 22-24. It is for this very reason that their exhortations of this text are completely out of context. Unfortunately, the end result of this is that much of what has been taught on these verses has been an absolute perversion and twisting of the genuine teaching of the Messiah. Let’s read the whole account together right now. “And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, He was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, He came, if haply He might find anything thereon: and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Yahoshua answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And His disciples heard it.”… “And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Kepha (Peter) calling to remembrance saith unto Him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Yahoshua answering saith unto them, Have faith in Elohim. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.” 16

A correct understanding of what this passage means is really very simple, as is all Truth, by the Word of Elohim. We are the fig tree, both you and I and everyone that belongs to the Messiah! The fig leaves are our dead works of self righteousness, and the trappings of manmade religion. Our dead works are the material substance that we hope will cover up the reality of the fruitlessness of our lives. We are using them to try and hide our nakedness and the shame, which we feel before Yahweh, others and ourselves. This is our fallen nature. We haven’t changed at all since mankind fell / failed, all the way back in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Hawah (Eve) dressed themselves in fig leaves to hide their nakedness because they were ashamed of their sin and guilt before Yahweh Elohim. (Bereshith / Genesis 3:7) In the natural, before the fig tree bears its fruit it will first grow out its leaves. Afterwards, its buds will appear and then finally, it will produce its mature fruit. When Yahoshua inspected the tree for evidence of a coming harvest of fig fruit, He observed that there were no buds. No buds meant no fruit would be coming at harvest time. This was the self-evident reality of the matter. The fig tree would always be 100% worthless to anyone who would pass by it, looking for fruit to satisfy their cravings for figs! No matter who you are, Elohim created you to produce the fruit of His Spirit as described and listed in Galatians 5:22-23 and Ephesians 5:9 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance… righteousness and truth” From Romans 6:22 we could add set-apartness to this list as well. If there is no evidence that this fruit is being produced, or abounding to harvest for others to enjoy, it is because we have a withered spirit. Just like the fig tree in the story, a fruitless life is 100% worthless to 17

Heaven, to others, and to ourselves. We will all die under the curse of our broken, breached and wounded spirit in no small part, because we have not understood how to “Scripturally” forgive. Proverbs 18:14b asks the question … “ a wounded spirit who can bear?” It is almost as if ole king Solomon is looking off into the future, to the account that we have just read in Mark 11 and is asking out loud, “who can bear good fruit if their spirit is wounded?” Once we understand how to do this, we must then make a quality resolution to continue, uninterrupted in doing so, no matter what! I know that a life given to understanding and practicing the forgiveness of Elohim, Yahoshua and “The Scriptures”, is the only life worth living. Within the context of the whole story, I agree with what many Scriptural scholars have correctly taught on Mark 11 verse 22. Yahoshua was literally teaching us, that we are to confess out loud and in agreement with that, which Elohim has already confessed from the Heavens. However, we can only do this correctly, when we do so according to the sound and pure doctrine of the whole counsel of “The Scriptures”. The key to understanding all of this passage is found in verse 23. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” The very mountain that Yahoshua was speaking about was the mountain of the ruling authority over the spiritual man. (Mountains all throughout “The Scriptures” are symbolic of ruling authority.) Specifically, the spiritual man of whom Yahoshua is speaking to is 18

broken, breached and wounded and thus, fruitless. This is true because of the mountain of unforgiveness that is ruling over our lives! If there was ever irony in the entire universe, it was here in this moment. The very mountain where all of these events transpired, was the Mountain of Olives! This is the very mountain where Yahoshua would be crucified for all of the sins of the entire world, in just a matter of hours. On this ruling mountain of our unforgiveness toward Elohim, Yahoshua, one another and ourselves, the Messiah received upon Himself all of our sin, guilt, debt and shame for all time and eternity! One day Yahoshua will return and according to “The Scriptures” His feet will land upon this very same mountain. This mountain will split in two when Yahoshua lands upon it, and a river of pure and living water will flow from it, for all to drink. (Zechariah 14:5&8) In that day Yahoshua will rule over the entire world! All of death, hell and the grave will be swallowed up in victory! Every broken, breached and wounded spirit will cease to exist and He will wipe all our tears from our eyes! Hallelu-Yah! Zechariah 14:9 ~ “And Yahweh shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Yahweh, and His name one.” 1Corinthians 15:54b ~ …“then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” Revelation 7:14 ~ … “Elohim shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Join me and let’s look even further into the future, through the eye of the prophecies of “The Scriptures”. We know that the day is certainly coming, when the very same ruling “Mount of Olives” will literally be cast into the sea of oblivion when time and space will cease to exist all together! What an Awesome fulfillment to this prophecy! What an 19

incredible picture, of how Elohim views the finished work of the cross, and the eternal record of all sin! Revelation 21:1 ~ “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” Remember? …this is exactly what the prophet Micah was referring to in Micah 7:18-19 …“and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” Can you see the vivid picture that Yahoshua is painting for us in this story? Our Heavenly Father has charged all the sin of the world to Yahoshua. Yahoshua’s blood paid for all of it in full, and blotted it out of the record. And if that wasn’t enough, one day this same mountain of all man’s unforgiveness will not only be cast into the sea, but literally destroyed into nothingness! Wow! Yahoshua is calling us to each speak to our own mountains of unforgiveness, that have been ruling over us and keeping us prisoner. This is absolutely necessary for the power of Heaven to come alive in us. That we may come to this rightful conclusion is exactly why this true account is tied to, and closes with verses 25-26 of Mark 11. “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.” True forgiveness, which Yahweh requires of each of us, is only found in agreeing completely with Him. He declares that by His Word, every single wrong that we have suffered is first, foremost and completely sin against Him and Him alone!

20

“Against Thee,Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.” ~ Mismore / Psalm 51:4 Understanding this Truth is absolutely essential to knowing the power of forgiveness to deliver us. It is Yahweh’s delight to charge every sin against Him, and the debt that we all subsequently owe, to the cross of Yahoshua! It is worth saying again; Yahoshua’s death on the cross paid for our debt in full, blotted out the record of it completely, and cast it into the sea of oblivion! Now that we know this to be true… if we continue to entertain accusations against the person who has wronged us… if we stand in condemnation… if we demand repayment, retribution or revenge, we are actually asking for / or demanding double jeopardy! We are asking for, or demanding additional payment to be made for something Yahoshua has already paid for in full! When we do this in practice, we are calling Elohim a liar, are calling His Word, “The Scriptures”, a lie and we nullify the work of the cross in our hearts. For the reader who is not familiar with the term double jeopardy, it is a legal term used in criminal law. Firstly double jeopardy means that no one can be accused of the same crime twice. In addition, it also means that no one can pay for the same crime a second time. Finally, it means that no one can pay for the exact same crime that another person has already paid for. True forgiveness is refusing to no longer play the “double jeopardy” blame game. True forgiveness is completely agreeing with Yahweh, that even though we have been wronged and we have been deeply hurt by another, the actual sin is against Him alone! When he charged our debt to Yahoshua, He accused His son, who was perfect and completely innocent, with every one of our sins. 21

In “The Scriptures”, and in history, Yisrael’s King David is known as one of the greatest kings who has ever lived and ruled. Yahweh Elohim greatly loved and esteemed David. Listen to what He said about David. “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.” ~ Acts 13:22 In 2Shemuel / Samuel chapter 11 we find this very same David at the height of all his greatness and esteem. He has been greatly blessed of Yahweh as much, or more than any man that has ever lived before him. What David does next is absolutely unthinkable. He kidnaps the wife of one of his most loyal, faithful and fierce soldiers, Uriah. (Uriah was one of an elite force called “David’s Might Men”. They would be equivalent to the U.S. military Special Forces like the “Navy Seals” or the “Green Berets” today.) Next, David rapes Bathsheba, gets her pregnant, and then elaborately schemes to cover up his crime and keep it hidden. When that plan didn’t work, David has his “Mighty Man” Uriah murdered. As a direct result, several more of David’s front line soldiers were killed as unintended, collateral damage. Seemingly, David has gotten away with his most heinous, deceitful and murderous crimes. Next, David takes the now grieving widow Bathsheba as his own wife, in an attempt to bolster his reputation as a good and benevolent king. In a brilliant political strategy, he makes it appear as though he is acting in compassion and generosity toward Bathsheba, the now desolate widow, for Uriah’s sake. He is esteemed in the eyes of both his family and his subjects. However, the story does not end there. David is not getting away with anything. Yahweh has seen, and knows everything that David has done. The story continues in 2Shemuel 12. Elohim sends the prophet 22

Nathan to confront David’s sin. David’s sin is exposed and his guilt is made manifest to all! In verse 13 David truly repents before Yahweh! David really and truly gets the Truth of what he has done, and just who it is he has sinned against. Listen to David’s own words as found in Mismore / Psalm 51:4 “Against Thee, (Yahweh Elohim)Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.” Take note that David does not say, “I have sinned against Uriah, Bathsheba, my fallen soldiers, my military, my family or my kingdom” No, he does not say any of those things at all! David fully understands that his sin is against Yahweh Elohim, and no other! He understands that the ensuing debt is owed to Yahweh, and no other. There is no denying that there were many hurting and wounded spirits all over Yisrael, because of David’s sin against Elohim. However, they were only the victims of David’s sin against Yahweh, and Yahweh alone! It is absolutely essential that we understand this all important principal. Without it we may never know Elohim’s power to deliver us, unto complete and total freedom from the inside out!

The Power of Deliverance Through Forgiving Yourself If most of us were to get real honest with ourselves and with others, we would have to admit, that for most of us, our number one enemy is the man in the mirror. Most of us are constantly barraging ourselves with self-condemnation. We beat ourselves up over and over again, for our past failures and mistakes. Stop It! Do not falsely accuse yourself any longer! For the Messianic believer, man or woman, all of 23

our failures, mistakes and sin have been paid for in full by the blood of Yahoshua! It is high time to stop beating yourself up, and agree with what the Word of the living Elohim of the universe has spoken. He promises you that every evil thing that you have ever done, and all you will ever do, has completely been taken care of at the cross of Yahoshua ha MaShiach! Your debt is paid for in full! Remember, Colossians 2:14! Before proceeding any further, why not take the time to read 2Shemuel chapters 11 & 12. After you have finished reading 2 Shemuel, why don’t you take the time to read Mismore / Psalm 51. This was David’s prayer of repentance to Yahweh. After you have completely read it through, pray the ancient words of David on your own, from your heart to Yahweh’s.

Author’s note to the elect, by our Father’s Sovereign favor: Not one of us can possibly know who the elect are, and who the elect aren’t, while living on this side of Heaven. Thus for personal freedom’s sake, we must each forgive every single trespass against us, as though it were committed by the elect and thus, paid for in full by the cross of Yahoshua!

In summary: The catalyst that gives birth to the behavior of any generational curse, is the bitterness of our hearts, which is caused by our unwillingness to release any, and every offense to the finished work of the cross of Yahoshua. Unwillingness to completely release every offense and any right to recompense, will eventually result in losing absolutely everything that we love and hold dear. (Matt 18:2135) Yahoshua taught plainly through this parable, that everyone who refuses to forgive another person, will never be at peace with themselves. Instead, the person who refuses to forgive will be tormented mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You will never know true shalom, which will trouble the raging sea of your mind and 24

emotions, until you experience the power of deliverance through forgiveness! You have the Word of the Master Yahoshua! For the believer, in Messiah Yahoshua, there is no greater sin than an unwillingness to forgive another person for anything that they have done, or are currently doing, toward / against us. It is equally sinful not to forgive ourselves. The unwillingness to forgive ourselves is born out of the pride of our hearts. We need to accept the reality, that we are not worthy of His forgiveness and never will be. Essentially, the unwillingness to forgive ourselves, for what He has already declared forgiven, is to exalt ourselves as being greater than Yahweh Elohim. Further questions for your consideration: Am I willing to forgive the person(s) (including myself) responsible for wounding/breaking my spirit? Am I ready to become the free person that Elohim created me to be, by releasing every offense to the finished work of the cross? I fully recognize and understand that for some, the pain of betrayal and brokenness is so great, that to forgive seems impossible. You have my empathy. More importantly you have the empathy of our Elohim and Savior, Yahoshua ha MaShiach! Keep reading!

Blessed Are The Poor In Spirit In Matthew 5:3 Yahoshua says; “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed means happy. Yahoshua wants you to be happy because you are spiritually bankrupt! Now, when you finally realize that you are powerless over your life, your pain, your sickness, your addiction, your poverty, your destructive behavior and your sin; you will have come to the place of having to trust in Him alone to save you, heal you, deliver you and make you whole. This kind of poverty of spirit is genuine, Heaven given humility. It is 25

the honest recognition, that we are in need of Yahweh, and no one else before His throne in prayer. Elohim honors this humility, and He will give you His unlimited power and ability to forgive through you! He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself, if you will only humble yourself and ask Him! Let’s pray and ask Him for His powerful help right now! (Read the following prayer. If it expresses your desire, then you can pray it sincerely from your heart. It is best to pray out loud if you can.)

Suggested Model Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Yahoshua ha MaShiach and by His blood. You know how very hard and even seemingly impossible it is for me to forgive. You know all those who have wounded me deeply and have helped to wound, breech and break my spirit throughout my life. You alone have unlimited power to forgive. You have already forgiven all of mankind’s sin against You, by the cross of Your Son. By faith in Your forgiveness by the blood of Yahoshua, I choose to forgive (Insert Name(s)) for the offense(s) of (Name Specific Offense(s)). I agree with Your Word that their sin is against You and You alone, and that they have been forgiven by the blood of Yahoshua. I therefore surrender my right to any retaliation, revenge, restitution, condemnation, and accusation. By Your favor I will no longer commit the sin of “double jeopardy”. I also agree by Your Word, that I have been forgiven for every sin that I have sinned against You. I ask You for Your power, to accept Your forgiveness for my sin, completely. By Your favor I will no longer falsely condemn and accuse myself, because Yahoshua was accused and condemned in my place! Father, I want to repent of previously not trusting in You with all my heart (my mind, my will, my emotions), to heal my broken spirit and my life. Right now I trust in You to heal me completely by the blood of Yahoshua. Let His shed blood wash away all of my pain, shame, guilt, condemnation, frustration, anger, rage, hate, bitterness, confusion and doubt. Please give me Your favor to continue to trust You for everything especially with my heart, from this day forward!

Suggested Model Prayer of Gratitude 26

Thank You Father for Your forgiveness for all of my sins, and also for all of those who have hurt me. Thank You for paying for all of our debt, in full, with the shed blood of Yahoshua ha MaShiach. Thank You for blotting out the record of our debt and destroying forever every proof of it ever existing. Thank You for healing me and making me whole by the stripes of Yahoshua! By faith I thank You, right now in advance, for delivering me completely from the sickness of, (Insert your specific poverty, addiction, destructive behavior and / or physical sickness in your body)! I agree fully with Your Word! All is forgiven and I am healed, delivered and made whole in this very moment, by Your provision through Your Set-apart Spirit and by the blood of Yahoshua ha MaShiach! Thank you for delivering me from the power of every generational curse that was active in / over my life. It is in His name, the name of Yahoshua I pray, Amein!

If You Have Not Forgiven Yet It is of utmost importance that you know in your head and in your heart, that there are only two reasons why you have not released every offense to the cross, and experienced the total freedom of forgiveness. 1. You DO NOT KNOW Yahoshua ha MaShiach as your personal Master and Savior, and therefore you cannot truly forgive according to the promise of “The Scriptures”. If this is the case, you need to repent and trust in Yahoshua ha MaShiach for your soul’s salvation. Only then will you be able to release every offense to the cross by faith. Only then will you be completely free, and know real and lasting shalom in your life.

2. You DO KNOW Yahoshua ha MaShiach as your personal Master and Savior, yet you are living in a state of unconfessed and unrepented sin. If this is the case, then you need to confess and repent, of not releasing every offense to the cross, not trusting your wounded heart to Elohim and blaspheming the 27

promises of “The Scriptures”, the blood of Yahoshua and the comfort of the Set-apart Spirit. By exercising this kind of mountain-moving faith in true humility, you will be set free and know real shalom.

Spoken Curses ~ Another Primary Curse Every Believer Must War Against “Lashon Hara”, is the Hebrew phrase for a wicked tongue. Many people learn to identify the wicked tongue as the tongue that engages in gossip, slander and false witness. While this is true, it is far more reaching than that. The wicked tongue is the tongue which speaks anything contrary to Heaven’s will over our own life, or the life of another. Mishle / Proverbs 15:4b speaks of just how powerful the wicked tongue can truly be. The wicked tongue has the power to crush our spirit! “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.” According to “The Scriptures” a perverse tongue will breach our spirit! The perverseness of the tongue that breaches our spirit is the Hebrew word “Celeph”. Celeph literally means to violently distort. Distort what? Good question! If it is true, that the Messiah created all things, (It is by the way!) then He must also be the creator of all thought! This is exactly what “The Scripture” teaches us in Amos 4:13. Every thought originates from the very throne of Heaven. Every perverse thought and word therefore, by definition, is everything haSatan, (The Adversary), and the cast out rebellious host have violently distorted. Day and night they never cease to twist what is 28

uttered by the Creator, between the throne of Heaven and the mind of man. “The Scriptures” are virtually filled to overflowing, about how incredibly powerful our words really can be. Once, I heard a fairly reliable and trusted speaker say, that a computer analysis of the words pertaining to speech such as tongue, lips, mouth words, sayings, speech etc, etc. revealed that a full one third of all “The Scriptures” have something to say, that is related to speaking and the words that we say. One of the most profound “Scriptures” concerning the power of what we say, is if found in Mishle / Proverbs 18:20-21 “A man’s stomach is satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; He is satisfied with the increase of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those loving it eat its fruit.” As a younger man I was very careless with the words that poured out of my mouth. Both directly and indirectly, I constantly cursed myself and others with reckless abandon. I am not just talking about swearing and abusive speech here. I am speaking here of giving license in the spiritual realm, so that our enemy can be empowered to use our own words against us. (See Numbers 30) Without a doubt, swearing and abusing others with our speech can activate a curse against us, as well as against others, however, to the believer that should be rather obvious. As followers of Messiah, we shouldn’t use swear words or be abusive toward others in the words that we speak. (Eph 4:49, 5:4 & Col. 3:16) (One of the best pieces of advice that I have ever been given, was to take a highlighter and read through the book of Proverbs, and to highlight every verse that refers to any particle of speech, and then meditate on it. Once I had finished the seemingly simple exercise I became very self-controlled, as well as, very self-aware about what I allowed to come out of my mouth. I challenge you to try this exercise for yourself, and let me know how it works out for you.) A perverse / wicked tongue is best defined as a specific curse, that has 29

been spoken into our lives and / or over our lives. Usually, but not always, it is accompanied by a strong emotion that makes it feel hateful, venomous and even cruel to its recipient. All curses are very powerful and demonic in nature! For an example this curse could be a father speaking to his son and saying to him, “You’re no good!”, “You’re nothing!”, “You’re just trash!” or “You’ll never amount to anything!”. This is usually accompanied by swearing, various insults and comparisons to others, who have experienced devastating failures and are personally known. I am truly amazed at just how many men and woman have in their childhood, suffered from this kind of perverseness of tongue. In my opinion, it is child abuse of the worst kind, and will definitely crush the spirit! In a similar manner, any person who is in a position of authority, or who is highly respected in your life, can also at anytime, wield the power to break our spirit by their specific, and / or cruel curses toward us, via their perverse tongue. I fully realize that you the reader, right at this very moment, are possibly recalling specific instances that others have directed the power of their perverse tongue toward you. Curses that were spoken against you and have since ruled in your life, even-though they might have been empowered in your life / over your life, years or even decades ago! I also fully realize how very blessed I am, that I did not experience this type of abuse as a child. I have however experienced it as an adult. I have observed, that experiencing the perverse tongue of another toward you, is much more devastating as a child, than as an adult. However, it definitely affects both child and adult alike. I personally experienced a much more subtle perverse tongue as a child. “The Scripture” says of the devil in Bereshith (Genesis), that he is the most subtle of all Elohim’s creation. This means that he is very crafty and sneaky. (Bereshith / Genesis 3:1) The direct attack and 30

assault is always much easier to identify, than the indirect / subtle one. For an example of this subtle attack: While I was growing up, my father would always tell everyone that he introduced me to, that I was his genius and that I was going to be a millionaire one day. He was very proud of both my intellectual acuity, and ambitious entrepreneurial ingenuity. What neither of us realized at the time, was that the subtle, perverse speech was planting itself into the breach, in my spirit. By the time I was a young adult, I was driven by this curse, which had been previously spoken over my life. I was consumed with the desire to be a millionaire, and I literally did not care about anyone or anything else, even-though I tried to give the appearance that I did. For another example: My mother will tell you that when I was 12 years old I was the ideal son in her eyes. I was home schooled from the time that I was 11. Almost every day I would start the morning by coming to her with a piece of paper and a pen, and would ask her to please make me a list of all that she wanted me to accomplish in school, and what chores she wanted done around the house. Very often she would remark to me how much she appreciated my servant attitude, and my helping out around the house. Then she would go on to say, “But Robbie, you know that you will soon be 13 and a teenager, and all teenagers rebel. You’re going to rebel too!” You can just guess what happened next. Just like a pre-set alarm clock going off, when I turned 13, I became a rebellious teenager. The funny thing is that my mom doesn’t even remember her words. However, I sure do! Neither of my parents were aware that my spirit had been completely breached, because I had been sexually molested at five years old and then again at twelve. They could not possibly have known the seeds of destruction, that they were unintentionally planting inside the chasm of my spirit’s unresolved guilt, shame, and frustration. 31

I do not want anyone to misunderstand what I am trying to say here. In no way am I saying that my parents, or anyone else is responsible for my sinful behavior as a child, a teenager or an adult. This teaching is not a license to excuse addiction, destructive behavior, sickness and sin. Ultimately, we are each responsible for our own attitude, words and actions. However, it is a universal truth that all spoken words have the power of life and death, and perverse speech will either breach our spirit, or plant itself into a breach that already, previously existed! I cannot even begin to tell you how many adults that I have met, who are still carrying around a voice of perverseness and cursing inside their heads and hearts. The person who has not experienced Elohim as Savior, Master, Deliver and Healer will surely, ultimately suffer for it.

Always Remember, Never Forget! There are only two things recorded in “The Scriptures” which will crush / breach / break the spirit of a person. “A perverse tongue crushes the spirit.” ~ Mishle / Proverbs 15:4b “By sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” ~ Mishle / Proverbs 15:13b In conclusion, I want to offer one last example of the power of the spoken curse: Words that we speak against our own life and welfare. I was previously married for 13 years. In 2005 I suffered separation from my ex-wife, which was followed by a divorce that I did not want. In 2001 I watched an episode of Oprah Winfrey, which had a profound impact on my life. The particular broadcast was about a psychological report, which had just been released concerning children of divorce. The study followed over 1,000 children for a period of twenty years of their lives. What they discovered, as a result 32

of the study, was truly disturbing to me. According to the study, almost every single child had suffered irreparable damage to their mental and emotional psyche. In addition, instead of getting better, most of them got progressively worse over time, in measurable areas of mental and emotional health. I continued to watch as a panel of grown adults, whose parents had divorced in their early childhood, wept openly, as they shared about how messed up they were because of their parent’s divorce. (Now hind sight being what it is, today, I realize that they were all probably really messed up because they had been going to licensed, practicing, psychologists with their problems. Part of the problem of going to most of those who practice the religious mind science of psychology, is they believe that their religion is the only answer, and not the authority of “The Scriptures. Additionally, many credible witnesses have stepped forward over the years, and candidly admitted, that one of the primary focuses of practicing psychologists is to ensure that their patient is completely dependent upon them, for as long as possible. Financial security is the motive for doing this of course, and not the overall welfare of the patient.) Anyway, at the time I watched the episode of Oprah, my own emotions were completely overwhelmed with the pain that I had witnessed. In my over-zealous, emotionally charged response, I stated over and over again, that my children would never suffer the effects of divorce because I would kill them, their mother, and myself, before I would ever let them suffer like that. I reasoned that it was much better for everyone to suffer for a split second, than to suffer over a life time. Years later in 2008, I would be seriously tormented because of my statement. I knew that I did not have unforgiveness in my heart, nor harbor any bitterness toward my ex-wife, or her lover, and yet I was tormented with thoughts of killing both of them, all my children, and myself. It went on for approximately two weeks. I knew that the thoughts were not coming from within, but rather from without. 33

However, no matter how much I prayed and cried out to Heaven, I was still tormented. Finally, it came to my remembrance that almost seven years before; I had spoken the curse over my life, my ex-wife and my children. The seed of the curse had rooted itself in the brokenness of spirit, while I was going through my divorce. I immediately confessed the curse that I had cursed myself with as sin, and asked the blood of the Messiah to cover my life and for mercy and renewed protection to be restored. From that time forward, I have never again suffered from the torment. The legal access had been revoked in the Spirit, and I was completely set free!

In summary: The catalyst that gives birth to the behavior of any spoken curse, is first the crushed spirit which is inflicted in our spiritual man, because we have not prayed and given that specific wound to Yahweh, for Him to heal it. Secondly, it is the very words that we or others around us, have spoken with our own mouths in overzealous haste, that have given legal access for the enemy to afflict us.

Questions to consider: Has your spirit ever been breached by the perversity of the tongue, because of evil communication spoken against you? Has your spirit ever been crushed by the continual sorrow of your heart, because of the previous actions of your parent(s) or someone else who is very close to you? Write down the specific curses that were spoken to you, against you or over you by a perverse tongue. Do not forget to also record the words that you have spoken against yourself! Were / are the curses direct or indirect? Were they spoken overtly or subvertly / subtiley? Write down specific sorrows of the heart and / or losses that you have 34

experienced, and have endured and survived, that you believe might have breached or broken your spirit. Are you ready for Yahweh Elohim (Yahoshua ha MaShiach) to heal your broken spirit? Why don’t we stop and pray to our Heavenly Father, and ask Him to reveal to your heart and mind any other “curses” or “sorrows of the heart” that you need to be aware of. In this way you can pray more specifically. Elohim wants to, can and will completely heal you, deliver you and make you whole! In my experience, I have found that there are many things that are true in the natural realm, which are a mirror of truth found in the spiritual realm. In the natural doesn’t the doctor assess the ailment first? Once the ailment has been assessed, doesn’t he try to pin-point its origin, and the specific area within the body that needs to be treated? It works in exactly the same way in regards to our spiritual man, and assessing of our disease, its origin and specificity of the treatment.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask You to reveal to me every curse that has ever been spoken against me, that has breached my spirit and taken spiritual authority over any area of my life. I also ask You to reveal every event in my life that has caused my spirit to be broken, due to natural / unnatural sorrow. I am asking You to help me to identify these specifically, so that I can be healed, delivered and made whole, by the power of Your Set-apart Spirit. Thank You Elohim for revealing everything I have asked You to, so that I may be whole. In Yahoshua’s name I pray, Amein! May I gently and humbly suggest you return to the model prayer of forgiveness, which I shared previously, for every curse spoke against your life by yourself and by others?

Final Summary: No curse can manifest against a child of Yahweh, who is walking in covenant relationship with Him (see Bemidbar / Numbers 22-24). However, we can give legal access for the spoken 35

curse or generational curse to manifest against us, by transgressing the covenant that He has given us. This is exactly what Yisrael did in Bemidbar / Numbers 25. There is no greater transgression of Yahweh’s covenant than refusing to forgive another or ourselves of all that has already been forgiven by the blood of Yahoshua. Our refusal to truly forgive completely, is that which causes every curse to manifest against us. “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” ~ Mishle’ (Proverbs) 25:28

Curses, Covenants of Death & Wicked Soul-Ties (Part 2 of 3 – covenants of death) SO WHAT IS A COVENANT OF DEATH EXACTLY? A covenant of death is a legal contract, enforced in the Heavenlies, due to an enactment here on earth. In varying degrees, Heaven holds each one of us legally responsible and morally accountable, every time we are personally confronted with the sin of another human being and we do not speak out against it. What is true in the spiritual realm is also true in the natural. Here are some examples of covenants of death in the natural realm. 1) If we possess critical information concerning the criminal activity of another person, and law enforcement discovers that we withheld that information, we can be charged with “accessory to a crime” which we did not even commit. 36

2) If we harbor a criminally charged fugitive, and tend to their welfare, we can also be charged with a felony crime. 3) If we witness a crime being committed and we take no responsible action, e.g. like calling for help if you have a cell phone, and later it is found out you could have done something, but instead chose to do nothing, then we can possibly be charged with a crime. (This is the so called “Good Samaritan Laws” that have been passed far and wide around the world.)

Here is what “The Scriptures” have to say about covenants of death. Yehezkel / Ezek 3:17-21 ~ "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Yisrael. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, you shall give them warning from Me. v.18 If I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. v.19 But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. v.20 Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. v.21 But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul." From this passage of “Scripture” we can discern the spiritual principle if we do not warn the sinner, who is personally known to us, of the consequences of their sin, then we will be held accountable for not speaking out against their sin. It is imperative to remember that we are to speak against the sinfulness of the sin itself, not the person who sinned. Our Father’s heart is merciful toward the sinner and we must also have His merciful heart, when confronting sin. We must 37

confront the sinner in the broken humility of our Messiah, or we too are liable of falling into sin! “Brothers, if a man is overtaken in some trespass, you the spiritual ones, set such a one straight in a spirit of meekness, looking at yourself lest you be tried too. v.2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so complete the Torah of Messiah.” ~ Gal 6:1-2 In another passage of Yehezkel the prophet is similarly warned. Yehezkel / Ezek 33:2-9 ~ "Son of man, speak to your people and say to them, If I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and make him their watchman, v.3 and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, v.4 then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. v.5 He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. v.6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand. v.7 "So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Yisrael. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, you shall give them warning from Me. v.8 If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. v.9 But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, that person shall die in his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.” There is no greater approaching danger to the soul of another person, than the consequence of their sin. The spiritual principle discerned from this passage is profoundly simple. If someone we know tells us that they are going to commit a certain sin(s), before they actually commit the sin(s), then we must warn them, in the fullest measure, of the consequences of their sinful choice(s). In addition, if someone 38

confesses to us that they have sinned against Yahweh, after the fact, then we must warn them of the spiritual consequences of their sin, and we must lead them to confession and repentance at the cross of our Messiah, by the power of Ruach ha Chodesh (The Set-apart Spirit). Let’s take a look at one more example, of a covenant of death, from the following passage in Romans. “And since they did not see fit to acknowledge Elohim, Elohim gave them up to a debased mind, to do what ought not to be done. v.29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, v.30 slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, v.31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. v.32 Though they know Elohim's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. 2:1 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. v.2 We know that the judgment of Elohim rightly falls on those who practice such things. v.3 Do you suppose, O man--you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself--that you will escape the judgment of Elohim? v.4 Or do you presume on the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that Elohim's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? v.5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when Elohim's righteous judgment will be revealed. v.6 He will render to each one according to his works: There is a principle in the natural which is just as applicable in the spiritual, “Your silence is your acquiescence or agreement.” When anyone falsely charges us directly, with any matter whatsoever, we have the moral obligation to set the record straight, in humility and in love. If we do not speak out then we are agreeing to the charges as a principle of natural, common, and contract law. 39

This principle is exemplified and amplified in the greatest example of all time, set before us in “The Scriptures”, at the trial of Yahoshua. “And the chief priests, and the elders, and all the council were seeking false witness against ‫ יהושע‬to put Him to death, v.60 but found none. Although many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward, v.61 and said, “This one said, ‘I am able to destroy the Dwelling Place of Elohim and to build it in three days.’ ” v.62 And the high priest stood up and said to Him, “Have You no answer to make? What do these witness against You?” v.63 But ‫ יהושע‬remained silent.” ~ MattithYahu 26:59-63a Because Yahoshua did not speak up, to defend Himself, before the high priest, when He was accused falsely, they were then able to find Him guilty of the crimes they accused Him of. Thus He was able to bear our sins upon Himself when He died upon that tree almost 2,000 years ago. We must speak up, in love and in humility, for the Truth’s sake. Many times our silence is not “golden”, rather our silence is sin. We cannot compromise Truth for peace! This is the easiest way to entangle ourselves into a covenant of death. The greatest covenant of death ever recorded in history is when Rome and Yahudah agreed to crucify the Savior and King of Heaven and earth. Even though the Roman official washed his hands clean he is still just as guilty of the murder of an innocent man. Up to this very day the Roman Catholic Church and the Yahudim have a very close alliance at the very highest levels of power and influence. Why is this? They are seemingly two very much opposed religions. The answer lies in the covenant of death established in Yahrushalayim almost 2,000 years ago. Until Yahudah and Rome separately, corporately confess this sin and renounce this covenant of death it will continue on, legally binding, to each subsequent generation! Without audible confession (renouncement) and repentance, there is no 40

restoration! This principle is firmly established in Bemidbar / Numbers 30 and again in Romans 10. Bemidbar 30:3-16 “Or if a woman vows a vow to ‫יהוה‬, and binds herself by some agreement while in her father’s house in her youth, v.4 and her father hears her vow and the agreement by which she has bound herself, and her father has kept silent towards her, then all her vows shall stand, and every agreement with which she has bound herself stands. v.5 “But if her father forbids her on the day that he hears, then none of her vows nor her agreements by which she has bound herself stand. And ‫ יהוה‬pardons her, because her father has forbidden her. v.6 “But if she at all belongs to a husband, while bound by her vows or by a rash utterance from her lips by which she bound herself, v.7 and her husband hears it, and he has kept silent towards her on the day that he hears, then her vows shall stand, and her agreements by which she bound herself do stand. v.8 “But if her husband forbids her on the day that he hears it, then he has nullified her vow which she vowed, and the rash utterance of her lips by which she bound herself, and ‫ יהוה‬pardons her. v.9 “But any vow of a widow or a divorced woman, by which she has bound herself, stands against her. v.10 “And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound herself by an agreement with an oath, v.11 and her husband heard it, and has kept silent towards her and did not forbid her, then all her vows shall stand, and every agreement by which she bound herself stands. v.12 “But if her husband clearly nullified them on the day he heard them, then whatever came from her lips concerning her vows or concerning the agreement binding her, it does not stand – her husband has nullified them, and ‫ יהוה‬pardons her. v.13 “Every vow and every binding oath to afflict her being, let her husband confirm it, or let her husband nullify it. v.14 “But if her husband is altogether silent at her from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or all the agreements that bind her – he confirms them, because he kept silent towards her on the day that he heard. v.15 “But if he nullifies them after he has heard, then he shall bear her crookedness.” v.16 These are the laws which ‫ יהוה‬commanded Mosheh, between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter in her youth in her father’s house.” 41

Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Master ‫ יהושע‬and believe in your heart that Elohim has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. v.10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, and so is saved.” Again, at the time Yahudah made their covenant with death, their Groom of betrothal remained completely silent! “And all the people answering, said, “His blood be on us and on our children.” Matt 27:25 Yahoshua’s silence is the reason that their curse came to pass, in exact detailed fulfillment! All of Yahudah and their children were completely destroyed, and “the sign of Yonah” was wondrously fulfilled when the temple, Yahrushalayim and over 1,000,000 Yahudim were brutally and mercilessly slaughtered. If Yahoshua had opened His mouth and nullified the vow in “the day that He heard it” then “the sign of Yonah” (Matt 12:39) to a wicked and adulterous generation would never have come to pass, and the prophecy would have failed. This sign is still extant today at the Drash (hidden) level of fulfillment, which will conclude in the Shabbat year of 2026 / 27. For a detailed understanding of “the sign of Yonah” check out the study linked below. Since I originally posted this study, much more revelation has been received and has been added. Do not forget to check out the comment section for very informative objections and answers. http://revelation1910.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/the-sign-of-yonahjonah/ The reason that we must specifically confess every sin OUT LOUD, is because in the very day that we confess and forsake every covenant of death made in our ignorance, willful disobedience and / or presumptuously, our Groom can then legally take our crookedness upon Himself and nullify every covenant of death, “IN THE DAY HE HEARS OF IT”! This is exactly what “The Torah” teaches us! (Bemidbar 30:3-16) 42

In Summary: WE COVENANT WITH DEATH WHEN… 1) We keep silent when personally confronted with the sin of another. 2) We do not warn the sinner of the consequences of their current course of action. 3) We mutually agree with another party to transgress Yahweh’s Torah, or when we enable / support another’s transgression by our words or actions.

EXAMPLES OF COVENANTS OF DEATH We covenant with death when another person tells us they are going to… Have an abortion… Divorce their spouse… Commit fornication / adultery or are committing fornication / adultery… Commit murder or have already committed murder… Lie / bear false witness or have previously lied or are currently bearing false witness… (The above would include gossip, slander, libel & unsubstantiated rumors.) etc, etc, etc… …and we say or do nothing to bring about correction. Is there forgiveness for all of these transgressions? Absolutely, Yes! However, forgiveness is contingent on confessing our sin, OUT LOUD, and forsaking it. Our authority for determining what is sin and what is not sin is the Word of Elohim. Specifically, the first five books called “The Torah”. Even Brit ha Dashah, (Erroneously called the New Testament), testifies to this authority.

43

“Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness, i.e. without or against “The Torah”.” ~ 1Yahonan 3:4 Anything that we do, that goes against the authority Yahweh has placed in His Torah is sin! Most of the time our emotions will get in the way of making the right (righteous) decision, especially when it comes to speaking absolute Truth into the lives of our closest relatives and friendships. Our emotions can deceive us and can lead us straight into the pit of hell, if we are not careful. To make sure that we do not fall into this trap, we should learn to always ask… “By what authority are you… (Insert whatever sinful course they are engaging on / in here, e.g. divorcing your spouse for instance)? If the person we are engaging with cannot give us an answer by the authority of “The Scriptures”, then it is sin! If “The Scriptures” are our final authority for absolute Truth, then we will keep ourselves from engaging in a “covenant of death”. Once again, if we do not speak absolute Truth, when confronted by another person with their sin, then we have entered into a covenant of death. By our silence, we have agreed to their rebellion before Yahweh. Our hearts are wicked and deceitful, and can easily deceive us into cursing ourselves, by ignorantly establishing covenants of death. “The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it?” ~ YirmeYahu / Jeremiah 17:19 We must guard our hearts at all cost, especially, when it comes to our closest relationships. i.e. best friends, our spouse, our children. “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” ~ Mishle (Proverbs) 4:23 Real love for another, and thus true friendship will confront any known sin in the life of their friend, and they will not hesitate to ask the question, “By what authority?” 44

“Open reproof is better than hidden love. v.6 The wounds of a friend are true, But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.” ~ Mishle 27:5-6

WE COVENANT WITH DEATH WHEN WE COME INTO AGREEMENT WITH ANOTHER PERSON(S) TO TRANSGRESS THE TORAH OF YAHWEH

MORE EXAMPLES OF COVENANTS OF DEATH We covenant with death when we… mutually agree to murder the baby Yahweh has blessed us with, i.e. abortion. mutually agree to divorce one another. mutually agree to deceive another / others, mutually agree to lie to another / others. mutually agree to steal from another / others. mutually agree to defraud another / others. I personally fell into the trap of the last example starting in 2002. I had entered into a “covenant of death”, due to the direct influence and counsel of my ex-wife. Starting in 2001 through 2002, my good friend Richard and I had worked together, developing an original marketing and fund raising business, “Groceries Free” TM. While working on this venture together, we successfully established two key accounts both of which, unlawfully, terminated their contractual agreement with us. In both instances, Richard decided to refrain from responding in any manner, except trusting through prayer in Heaven’s Providential Sovereignty, and releasing every offense to the finished work of the cross. For Richard there really wasn’t any other option. He was an excellent example to me, as I watched him live out his faith as instructed in Romans 12. v.17 “Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. v.18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. v.19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of Elohim, for it is written, "Vengeance is 45

mine, I will repay, says Yahweh." v.20 To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." v.21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Because we had two, seemingly solid contracts in place, Richard had agreed to advance me several thousands of dollars, which was to be a small fraction of future commissions expected. However, when those two contracts fizzled out, I was left with no practical means of returning the money that I owed to Richard. From late 2002 through late 2005, I had made an above average income and I could have easily repaid the money that I owed to Richard. Each time that I suggested doing it, my ex-wife would talk me out of it. She insisted that because Richard had not wanted to pursue the breach of contracts that he should be held liable for the loss of paid commissions to me. In my heart I knew that it was wrong, however, I did not aggressively pursue the matter as I did not want to stand for truth, when I knew that it would just create further strife with my ex. In late 2006, I was talking to Richard and he asked if I had considered the possibility, that I had created a covenant of death, and thereby cursed myself, by agreeing with Jolene to not repay him the money. I prayed about the insight, and by the Spirit I knew that Richard was right. I had established a covenant of death with Jolene, and had thereby cursed myself and my financial provision from Heaven, even further. Once again, I humbled myself and prayed for forgiveness for the transgression of His righteousness and I asked Yahweh to please forgive me. Through further prayer I realized that I had to immediately start repaying the money I owed Richard. Although all I had to my name was $25.00 (US), I knew that by faith, I had to send it all for the power of the curse / covenant of death to be broken, through the act of repentance. From the time that I sent out the first payment, I was not able to send Richard even one dollar more, over the next two years.

46

In late 2008, Richard called me to tell me that the Spirit of Yahweh had spoken to him, and told him to tell me the debt was forgiven in full, and that no more needed to be repaid. Only later would we both realize from “The Scriptures” that it was actually a command to the children of Yisrael. In the end of the seventh year every debt left unpaid, to another member of the house Yisrael, was to be canceled in full. (Deuteronomy 15:1) I bless Yahweh that by His mercy He revealed these “covenants of death” to my heart, so that I might confess them, forsake them, and repent of them and thus be set free from their powerful strongholds over my life. I don’t ever want to be held captive or restrained by any curse, “covenant of death”, or wicked soul tie ever again. By Heaven’s favour, I want to work out / walk out the “Power of Deliverance” all the rest of my days, or until Yahoshua returns. (Phil 2:12) EVERY DECISION WE MAKE WE CHOOSE TO SERVE YAHWEH OR THE ELOHIM OF SELF! CAREFULLY CHOOSE WHOM YOU SHALL SERVE! In Acts 5:1-11 is recorded the true account of Hananyah and Shappirah. They mutually agreed to lie to Shimon Kepha (Simon Peter) and keep back part of the money that they had sold their property for. As a direct result of their covenant of death both Hananyah and Shappirah were immediately struck dead, and the fear of Yahweh fell on the entire assembly at Yahrushalayim. Fortunately, none of my own covenants of death have cost me as much, as it cost those two. Never the less, do not think for a moment, in the deceitfulness of your heart, that our covenants of death do not cost us dearly and do not, in fact, bring varying degrees of death to every area of our lives. “Be not deceived; Elohim is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” ~ Galatians 6:7-8 47

WE COVENANT WITH DEATH WHEN WE… 

enable those we love to continue on with their destructive behavior, including, but not limited to…

drug addiction, alcoholism, pornographic addiction, sexual addiction, relationship addiction, emotional abuse, physical abuse, verbal abuse, sexual abuse, etc, etc.

Some of the varying ways we do this are by…

condoning wrong behavior.

refusing to bring wrong behavior into the light, for it to be exposed and corrected before two or three witnesses.

financially providing for the wickedness to continue on.

refusing to contact law enforcement authorities to request the removal of the abusive party.

refusing to physically remove ourselves from the presently dangerous and harmful environment if law enforcement authorities will not provide the protection requested.

Even though there are hardly any grounds for a believer to divorce their spouse, found anywhere in “The Scriptures”, it does not mean that there is any expectation that we subject ourselves to continual abuse. By all means if your marriage is not one of safety, protection and provision, according to “The Scriptures”, then remove yourself and wait on Yahweh for further direction. Every wise counsel we need is found in His Torah. (Mishle / Proverbs 3:5-6 & James / Ya ‘acob 1:5-6) A good question to ask myself is, “If Heaven cannot bless or reward sinful behavior, what makes me think that I can?” “How can I go against the will of Heaven, for another person to receive correction, 48

according to what they have been sowing, without turning Heaven against me and my promised covenant protection and provision?” I know firsthand that it is impossible. When we enable another person financially, who is currently living in open rebellion, unconfessed / unforsaken sin against Yahweh and His Torah, then we must be sure that Heaven’s favor will turn away from us. I myself have made this terrible mistake and I have paid very dearly for it. I let my wicked heart deceive me and although my intentions were very good my actions were evil in the eyes of Heaven. I did this by agreeing to support my ex-wife financially, even though she was living a life of unconfessed, unrepented rebellion against Heaven. She had not yet confessed any of her rebellious sins of separation, divorce, fornication, drug addiction, etc. I knew that she was in a state of unconfessed, unrepented rebellion against Heaven, (even though I was not aware of the full extent of her rebellion at the time), and yet I still elected to commit full financial support for her, for the sake of our children. At that time, Heaven was busy dealing with my ex, and she was beginning to suffer severely for the consequences of her wickedness. I did not even pray about the decision to support her financially and I let my heart deceive me, to interfere with Heaven’s discipline in her life. In a way I seized the opportunity to be sovereign in her life rather than let Elohim’s Sovereignty work itself out in her life, and the life of our children. If I had not done this, I would have been a lot wealthier financially. I would not have been disciplined by Heaven, and I probably would have received custody of my children. Sin will always take us further than we wanted to go, cost us more than we wanted to pay, and make us stay longer than we wanted to stay. It is so very important that we pray before we make any financial decisions. So often we make decisions regarding our finances, based on our temporal emotions and not the eternal Truth of “The Scriptures”.

49

Since I received the revelation in August 2008, there have been several occasions when the Set-apart Spirit has spoken to my heart and told me not to give, even though I knew of the need first hand. Believe me when I say, it is much harder for me to be obedient to the Set-apart Spirit, when He tells me not to give, than when He tells me to give. However, because I understand covenant in the picture of marriage, I know that I do not have any choice, but to obey. Furthermore, I was not the faithful steward of Yahweh’s resources that I should have been. Back when I was a “Christian”, I was never really taught the doctrine of covenant as it relates to marriage. “Christendom” taught me to pay my 10% religious tax, give an occasional offering, and whatever was left over I could pretty much do with as I wished, within certain prescribed parameters. While it is true that every believer in Messiah should give their primary tithe to support the ministry that teaches them “The Scriptures”, through the lens of the Torah, tithing by itself does not fulfill the picture of covenant. The doctrine of covenant is best understood in the picture of marriage. When you enter into the covenant relationship of marriage you lose all personal ownership of everything; Period! Your money is no longer yours, your time is no longer yours and everything you possess, is no longer yours. Even your very life and body, no longer belong to you. (1Corinthians 7:4) The bride belongs to her Father’s house first and then her Husband’s house second. The bride NEVER belongs to herself over her entire lifetime. Whether she is living in her Father’s house during her betrothal or her husband’s house from the time of the wedding feast, either way, everything the bride has is NEVER hers; it all belongs to her Father or her Groom. The Father and the Groom have both sworn to always provide for and protect the bride of covenant. Everything they have, they have given to us as well. Since they have everything and we have nothing don’t you think this is a wonderful arrangement? I know I sure do! 50

Religion has taught believers that the tithe, and maybe an occasional offering, belongs to the Groom, but all the rest belongs to the bride, to do with as she pleases. Does this accurately reflect the picture of a marriage covenant? Everything we have belongs to the Groom. We are called to be responsible stewards of everything that He has blessed us with for the sake of the covenant. (1Corinthinas 4:2) To more fully understand the marriage covenant and what the first marriage (Adam and Hawwah / Eve) is supposed to teach us please visit me on my blog site. http://revelation1910.wordpress.com/2011/12/10/the-elohim-and-king-ofall-favor/

When Yahweh revealed to my heart, that I had entered into a covenant of death with my ex-wife, I responded with joyous confession of my sin and repentance. (I have learned to define repentance as fully agreeing with the Elohim of the universe.) Why would anyone want to argue with the supreme authority of the universe? How could I possibly win such an argument? Everything He declares is sin in my life, is what sin really is. In addition, I do not have to guess what He defines as sin, because He has already told me what sin is by His Word! Sin is Torah-less-ness! “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” ~ (1 Yahonan / John 3:4) My heart filled with laughter to overflowing as I was praying, confessing my sin. I could almost hardly believe that I had committed that particular sin. My love for my children and my ex-wife had blinded me to the reality, that I was establishing a covenant with death back in the summer of 2006. It was even harder for me to believe, that I had been so blinded from seeing the obvious consequence of my sin. The reason why I was joyously laughing with such disbelief, when the revelation came to my heart, is because I knew what a covenant of death was. I had taught the very lesson on “Curses, Covenants of Death and Wicked Soul-Ties”, from “The Scriptures”, at least a half dozen times over the previous 18 months. 51

How could I be so blind, as not to see the wickedness of my own sinful covenant of death, and not know that I needed to confess it as sin for over two years? One of the most prominent ways that we covenant with death, is in the areas of our financial matters. More often than not, people, and especially married couples, come into agreement concerning financial matters that are completely contrary to “The Torah”.

EXAMPLES OF COVENANTS OF DEATH IN OUR FINANCIAL DEALINGS Did you know, that as followers of Yahoshua and His doctrine “The Torah”, the following holds true for our stewardship of His kingdom.

1) We are not to enter into any debt contracts lasting longer than seven years. When we enter into any debt obligation(s), without first praying for direction and hearing from Yahweh to proceed, we are presuming on His future provision(s). Presumption is the anti-thesis of faith. It is actually a very clever counterfeit of genuine faith. Faith is of Heaven. Presumption is from hell. When two or more people agree to indebtedness, without hearing from Heaven, they have established a covenant of death. To clearly illustrate the difference between faith and presumption, permit me to share the following anecdote. I invite you over for dinner and you accept my invitation. Faith is; I go ahead and make all the preparations necessary for your expected arrival, at the previously agreed date and time. Presumption is; you show up at my door at the time expected, and I inquire of you, “Where is the meal, the wine, the bread and the dessert.”, and I had never informed you that I expected you to bring food and drink with you, when you came. I hope this illustration has helped you to see how close and yet, how very far away the concepts of faith and presumption truly are. I would humbly submit to you, that most believers I know operate 52

mostly in presumption and do not know genuine, “Scripturally”, defined faith.

2) We are commanded not to charge fellow believers interest. I can’t help but wonder how Elohim feels about how much interest is paid out annually by His trusted stewards to the financial institutions of this world? I wonder, just how much kingdom work goes left undone each year, which could be readily financed on just the interest that is squandered, by His covenant partners? Do we really think that there will not be an accounting one day?

3) Tithing is an integral part of our covenant relationship with Yahweh. When a husband and wife mutually agree not to tithe, they essentially curse themselves. The tithe belongs to Yahweh and is set-apart unto Him, from the first fruits of our labour. When we do not tithe, we are essentially stealing from Yahweh. In addition, we are proclaiming our distrust of His provision and protection. My wife Jenn and I have always tithed, from the very beginning of our marriage, because we understand the principle. The first tithe ever recorded is when Abraham gave a tenth of all of his wealth (silver money) to his Torah teacher Shem. (As recorded in Bereshith / Genesis 14 and “The Book of Yasher.) Follow his example and give your first fruits to your Torah teacher, as unto Yahweh. If you can trust him to feed your soul, then you can trust him with your tithe. If you cannot trust your Torah teacher with the tithe of Yahweh, then that person has no business teaching you the Torah. If you live in a remote area and / or you are receiving your Torah instructions from several Torah teachers via the internet, television, radio, etc. then make sure to pray and give your tithe to all those whom the Father directs you to. Regularly giving out of our tithes and offerings to the poor, widows, orphans, and believers, who are visiting from a foreign land, are also 53

integral to our covenant relationship with Yahweh. Prayerfully consider the following “Scriptures”. Pray how Yahweh would have you give in these areas, and then be swiftly obedient to His voice. (Mishle / Proverbs 3:27-28) Remember, to agree to delay, or not to obey in this area of your stewardship is also establishing a covenant of death. Mishle / Proverbs 19:17 “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto Yahweh; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.” Mishle 21:13 “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.” Mishle 22:9 “He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.” Mishle 28:27 “He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” Ya ‘acob / James 1:27 “Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” Ibrim / Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” 1Kepha / Peter 2:11 “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Our daily choices in obedience vs. disobedience to the Torah will determine if we shall walk in a Covenant of Life or a Covenant of Death! IN CONCLUSION: Every covenant of death that we have entered into must be confessed as sin and renounced. If we have entered into a covenant of death in mutual agreement with another party, e.g. a spouse, close friend, other family member, etc, then the covenant of 54

death should be confessed as sin and renounced by both parties, in mutual agreement, if at all possible.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask You to reveal to me every covenant of death that I have entered into and have thereby empowered to take legal, spiritual authority over any area of my life. I am asking You to help me to identify each covenant of death that I have agreed to, specifically, and particularly, so that I can confess it OUT LOUD and forsake it, so that I can be healed, delivered, and made whole, by the power of Your Set-apart Spirit. Thank You Yahweh Elohim for revealing everything I have asked You to, so that I may be whole and free from the power of any covenant of death I have previously agree to in my ignorance, wilfully, and / or presumptuously. In Yahoshua’s name I pray, Amein!

Curses, Covenants of Death & Wicked Soul-Ties (Part 3 of 3 ~ WICKED SOUL-TIES) SO WHAT IS A WICKED SOUL-TIE EXACTLY? A wicked soul-tie is any physical or spiritual connection that we have with another person, that influences us toward wickedness, in rebellion against Yahweh and His established authority, whether direct or delegated. Most of us have been conditioned to believe, that we are physical creatures that are having spiritual experiences, rather than spiritual creations having physical experiences. Thus, the physical man is constantly attended to, and our spiritual man is usually left to be content with the leftovers. It is for this very reason that we must discipline ourselves, to regular fasting and prayer. All too often our spiritual man is left to starve, and fasting is the quickest way to nourish the leanness of our souls. Most of us, in our day to day lives have many physical encounters with other people around us, in words or deeds. At a certain level we 56

become aware consciously of a spiritual connection with each one. We leave our various encounters feeling happy, sad, angry, peaceful, confused, fearful, etc, etc. Sometimes this feeling is as a result of something, that was communicated or the way in which it was communicated; however, many times we experience a change in our thought process because of a spiritual connection that we have made with another person, simply by our coming into direct contact with them. Simply put, a demonic spirit must have a physical being to manifest itself through, in order to become known. Example: A person may have anger in their heart toward another person, which is a spiritual wicked soul-tie. When an angry person meets the person that they are angry with, and then speaks angrily towards that person, demonstrating their anger, that establishes the further spiritual wicked soul-tie through the physical contact. The same thing can be explained through “The Scriptures” concerning lusting after a person in the eyes, versus physically acting out that lust. There are two very prevalent factors in how strongly wicked or righteous soul-ties effect / affect us, for righteousness or for wickedness. The first is how closely and intimately we are connected to the other person. The second is how strongly the Set-apart Spirit or the spirit of the adversary is operating in the other person. Every time we interact with another person, there is an exchange of wicked or righteous soul-ties, both physical and spiritual.

There are many examples of both righteous and wicked soul-ties in “The Scriptures”. We will look at both. Afterward, I will close with a couple personal anecdotal experiences, of wicked soul-tie influences. The most difficult part of sharing this understanding is convincing the skeptical mind, of the ever-present reality of soul-ties and their constant influence in our day to day lives. I should know! I was one of the world’s biggest skeptics of soul-ties and their ability to influence me, when a very good friend first taught me about them a little over ten years ago. 57

If this teaching is true, the Set-apart Spirit will reveal it to you in such a powerful manifestation, that you will carry it with you for the rest of your life. (1Yahonan 2:27) However, once accepted as an ever present reality, spiritual awareness of soul-ties and how they influence us for Heaven’s purpose or Hell’s intended destruction, is a powerful weapon to counter every wicked device of the enemy. There is only one instance that the soul-tie is explicitly referenced to in “The Scriptures”. However, the theme of soul-ties is ever present from Bereshith (Genesis) – Revelation. “And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Shaul, that the soul of Yonathan was knit (tied) with the soul of Dawid, and Yonathan loved him as his own soul. And Shaul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. Then Yonathan and Dawid made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.” ~ 1Shemuel (Samuel) 18:1-3

THE STRONGER THE SOUL-TIE THE GREATER THE LOYALTY Most scholars would argue that David and Yonathan’s soul-tie was one of set-apartness, and not a wicked one. I would fully agree with this assessment, however, it should be noted Yonathan’s soul-tie with Dawid formed an alliance / covenant between them which was stronger than Yonathan’s loyalty to his own father, King Shaul. Without any fear of contradiction, the strongest soul-tie in the world is the soul-tie between a man and a woman, who have known each other in sexual intimacy, whether in the bonds of the set-apart covenant or not. In the act of sexual union the two become one flesh (soul). It is for this very reason that the marriage-bed is honorable and undefiled. (Bereshith (Genesis 2:24) and Ibrim (Hebrews) 13:4).

“The Scriptures” are replete with examples of a spouse, leading their husband or wife to sin against Yahweh. Hawah (Eve) led Adam to rebel against Yahweh. (Bereshith / Genesis 3) Sarah led Abraham to distrust Yahweh’s provision, and convinced him to sleep with Hagar, the Egyptian, to produce a son for him (Bereshith / Genesis 16). Jezebel led Ahab to falsely worship Nimrod (ba ‘al) and Ashterah. She also conspired with him, to steal Naboth’s vineyard, by falsely accusing him and having him murdered. (1Malakim / Kings 21) Hananiah and Sapphira conspired together, to withhold a portion of their offering and then, lied about it. (Acts 5) Most of us have not considered these examples with any discerning of spirit. Thus, we have never really given much thought, as to why each of these spouses where able to convince their covenant partners, to choose wickedness over the righteousness of Yahweh. It is because of the strength of the soul-tie! It is imperative that we guard our hearts in every relationship, even in our marriage. In many cases, especially, in our marriage! “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” ~ Mishle’ / Proverbs 4:23 It is a profound reality that for most married couples their number one hindrance in walking with Yahweh, in the fear of Him in all setapartness, is their spouse. If your spouse is not presently walking with an upright heart, in the fear of Yahweh, then they are a liability and could become the greatest hindrance, to your walking in set-apartness before Yahweh. If your spouse is content to let you serve Yahweh unhindered, in complete obedience, then we are commanded to be pleased to continue, to dwell with them in set-apart covenant. (1Cor 7:12-13) However, if they desire for us to do anything displeasing before Yahweh then we must resolve, long before hand, to serve Him alone, without compromising Truth for peace. The flesh of an unbelieving spouse, or even of the spouse not fully surrendered to Yahweh, loathes being in second place to Yahweh. Only if our spouse is also walking in a covenant relationship with Yahweh, as the Master of every area of 59

their life, will they fully submit to the idea of being in second place to Him. Consider: In every single example given above, the people knew Yahweh Elohim in a personal relationship with Him. (The only possible exception to this was Jezebel.) Yet, they all ended up making very costly decision(s), due to the wicked soul-tie influence of their spouse. WHETHER A WICKED SOUL-TIE IS WICKED OR RIGHTEOUS IS DETERMINED BY THE SPIRIT OPERATING BEHIND THE SOUL-TIE, NOT NECESSARILY THE RELATIONSHIP ITSELF. In other words, what could be a soul-tie for righteousness today could just as easily be a soul-tie for wickedness tomorrow. It is 100% dependent on whether the person you have a soul-tie connection with, is presently walking in the fear of Yahweh or not. It is really that simple. Since none of us know what is going on in the dark recesses of another person’s mind and heart, it is best to guard ourselves in prayer at all times. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” - YirmeYahu / Jer 17:9 “They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” ~ Mismore / Psalm 14:3 “And Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” ~ Bereshith / Genesis 6:5 Yahweh is very clear about the condition of the human heart, apart from the fear of Him, in obedience to His Torah (His Instructions). If Yahweh does not trust my heart, why should I then trust my heart, apart from the fear of Him? If Yahweh does not trust my spouse’s / best friend’s / child’s / co-worker’s heart, apart from the fear of Him, then why should I? 60

Listen to what happens, when we put our trust in another person, who is not presently walking in the fear of Yahweh. “Thus says Yahweh: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from Yahweh. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.” ~ YirmeYahu / Jer. 17:5-6 Just like Adam in the Garden, the more personal and intimate our relationship, the more we need to guard our heart, so that the relationship does not elevate to the status of idolatry. It isn’t just the Devil that wants to be worshipped! Look around you! The flesh of man craves to be worshipped. Whether professionally, athletics, music, and other various talents and abilities in which we excel, our flesh fully desires to be recognized for our accomplishment(s). “A refining pot is for silver and a furnace for gold, So a man is tried by his praise.” ~ Mishle’ – Proverbs 27:21 According to the above “Scripture”, what we do with the praises of men is the refining fire of Yahweh’s furnace. He will try our hearts or allow our hearts to be tried, so that He may reveal to us, if we are for Him or against Him. (Bereshith / Genesis 22) It is extremely important that our hearts are fully surrendered and committed, so that He would get all the honor, esteem and praise before it is offered by men. Not giving Him all the esteem, honour and praise will always end in death. (Mishle’ 16:18 & Acts 12) Yahweh promised Hawah (Eve) that the curse that fell upon all women would be the desire to rule over their husbands. (Bereshith / Genesis 3:16) We’ve all heard the saying “we know who wears the pants in that family.” This is a direct result of the curse from the garden of Eden! Every woman must resolve daily, to submit to her husband’s leadership and authority, in the fear of Yahweh. (Eph. 5:22) This is a struggle that every woman must overcome and conquer continuously, until the Messiah returns. 61

The desire to manipulate and control, (usually referred to as a Jezebel spirit, although there is no spirit of Jezebel, but is in fact just a spirit of manipulation and control), is almost always born out of the spirit of envy, jealousy and strife. When this spirit is operating against any individual, it is always accompanied by the spirit of deception. In the assemblies of Yahweh, this spirit is most effective when it is hidden by false humility and spiritual pride. Time and time again, I have witnessed the body of Messiah ambushed and overcome with the spirit of rebellion, because they did not recognize the spiritual darkness behind the spiritual soul-tie, acting against them. It is for this very reason that I have long believed that there is no greater spiritual gift of the Set-apart Spirit than the gift of discerning of spirit. (1Cor 12:10) Many in the body claim to have the gift of discernment this is not a gift of the Spirit. Most who claim to have this gift, are actually operating in human logic and reasoning. The gift of discerning of spirit, is the ability to diagnose the spirit behind any person or thing, operating in this present natural world that we are all living in. It is very evident that this gift is neither coveted nor desired (1Cor 12:31) by the greater assembly of Yahweh, by His favour through faith. Everywhere that I turn, I witness counterfeit manifestations of miracles, signs and wonders, counterfeit doctrine and new teachings of every kind. The spirit of confusion is very prevalent in the body of Messiah. As it was before so it is again… “In those days there was no sovereign in Yisra’ĕl – everyone did what was right in his own eyes”. ~ Shophetim (Judges) 21:25 The spirit of confusion is everywhere… Why is this? Without the recognition of Yahweh’s established authority, we are all as sheep to the slaughter. In every other sector of society and community we recognize the authority that has been established, except one. We recognize authority has been established in our countries, provinces, townships, businesses, place of employment, courts of law, homes, etc. Why is it so difficult to believe that Yahweh 62

would establish His authority in our communities of faith? According to “The Scriptures”, does Yahweh ever operate outside of His established direct and delegated authority? Now I know that most of those who claim spiritual authority, are not truly established by Yahweh. The reality is that anyone walking in true spiritual authority, established by Yahweh, does not have to make any claim to that authority. This is why the gift of discerning of spirit, is so desperately needed in the body of Messiah! Without the gift of discerning of spirit, we cannot know if the spirit manifesting itself in our presence is of Heaven or Hell. The primary purpose of every wicked soul-tie, is to try to influence us to walk in rebellion to Yahweh, according to the authority He has established, directly and indirectly, according to His Torah. Conversely, every soul-tie of righteousness, is seeking to encourage and exhort us to walk in the fear of Yahweh according to the authority that He has established, by His Torah (His Instructions). Just as “The Scriptures” are replete with examples of wicked soulties, they are equally saturated with examples of soul-ties of righteousness. Yahoshua and His taught ones, Shaul and Timothy, Shem, the son of Noah, (i.e. Melchizedek) and Abraham, Ezra and NehemYah, Yahoshua and Yahonan, etc. In closing, I would like to offer up a couple of personal anecdotes that awakened me to the reality, that not only were wicked soul-ties real, but they were constantly against us, to cause us to stumble in our desire to walk in righteousness in the fear of Yahweh. May Yahweh be so very gracious, as to cause His favour to shine on you and confirm to your heart in the same / similar way. If you will ask Him to, by faith, with an upright heart, He has assured us that He is no respecter of persons. (Ya ‘acob (James) 1:5-6 Acts 10:34) As I stated earlier, I was highly skeptical of the powerful influence of wicked soul-ties, when I was first taught, concerning this subject, back in the summer of 2001. Very shortly after I first heard this teaching, I found myself struggling all morning long, with a completely foreign 63

desire to purchase pornographic magazines. I did not know the source of the unrelenting attack. However, after struggling with this lustful desire for hours, I finally relented and walked over to the local convenience store with $10 (US) in my pocket. To my great surprise the community market did not sell any magazines of any kind. I realized later, that the store was owned by devout Muslims, and the matriarch of the family absolutely forbid the sale of pornographic material, as well as most other western periodicals. I walked back home grateful for Yahweh’s intervention, and was perplexed and confused, as to why I would have the foreign desire overwhelm me like a flood, seemingly, out of nowhere. I immediately called the man who had taught me about the wicked soul-ties, and explained the full account of what had happened that morning. We ended our conversation with a prayer of thanksgiving, and asking that Yahweh would reveal to us, the source of the wickedness that had attacked me. Soon afterward it was revealed, that my ex-wife had a very strong wicked soul-tie connection with a man through her work place, who was a hard core sex addict and he had a special affinity, for pornographic magazines. The soul-tie had transferred through her to me and thus, I was afflicted with this specific foreign lustful desire. Needless to say, after the revelation was made manifest, I became a true believer in wicked soul-ties and their ability to afflict our souls. It is no wonder that some people refer to wicked soul-ties, as spiritual AIDS! Shortly afterward, in yet another stunning example, I witnessed the very same man, who had taught me about wicked soul-ties overcome with a spirit of deception, right before my eyes. Even though I knew him to be an honest man, who loved the truth above everything else, he could not help but to lie to me, and he actually believed his lies to be the truth. Unknown to him at the time, the two other men in the room were both also then operating in the spirit of deception. I watched in amazement, as none of the three men could tell me the truth, to save their lives and they firmly believed that they were telling 64

me the truth. In other words, they did not know that they were lying, even though I knew, by the available material facts that I was the only one witnessing truthfully, to the situation. This is the power of the spirit of deception! We actually believe the lie to be the truth! The moment I recognized that the spirit that was prevalent in the room, I simply excused myself, severed all soul-ties with those that I had just kept company with, and prayed as I drove home. As I was praying, the Spirit gave me revelation of what was going to happen in the future regarding two of the men. I went home and wrote down everything that the Spirit had revealed to me, in my prayer journal. Approximately two years later, the Spirit confirmed exactly what He had spoken to me, had indeed transpired. At the same time it was also confirmed to me, that it was reveled shortly after our meeting, that the two other men were actively entertaining and operating in a spirit of deception. Through the operation of strong wicked-soul ties, the spirit of deception kept my friend from being able to witness truthfully, in complete ignorance, to the lies he was speaking, and actively believing to be true. I could give many more examples of wicked soul-ties, which I have personally witnessed, but the reality is that you need to receive the fullness of this teaching, by the revelation of the Set-apart Spirit to your heart. Maybe you already have. May I encourage you; once you have received the revelation, guard it always and do not let it go. My wife and I pray often, and ask Heaven to break and sever completely, any and all wicked soul-ties presently hindering us, afflicting us or affecting / effecting us for evil, in any way. It is simply a matter of habit. Here is a model prayer, meant only as an example for you to pray from your own heart. Heavenly Father, I ask you to sever and destroy every soul-tie from the wicked one, operating in my life right now. I ask you to set me free from every bondage of external influence(s) in my mind and heart, that is not in complete agreement with Your Word, Your Spirit and Your purpose and plan for my life, regardless of who the soul-tie 65

is established with, even my closest friends, family members and spouse. Let only the soul-ties that are sent from You remain, and have power over my life. Do not let any of the enemy’s plans to destroy me, or another through me, prevail in my life. Let every soultie be severed and destroyed, that is presently bringing / causing fear, doubt, sedition, lust, envy, jealousy, division, strife among the brethren, deception, pride or any other wicked thought, contrary to Your Word! Please bind me with ties of righteousness to You alone and only to those people, who You want me to influence at this present time for Your righteousness and purposes to be accomplished in my life, and the life of my family. This I ask in Yahoshua’s name and by His blood. Amein!
