ADVANCEMENT REVIEW

For Fiscal Year July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012

Over the last four years, OLSH has really helped me to grow and to be myself. The environment at OLSH is very supportive and open, which led me to join activities like the liturgical choir and NHS. These activities have helped me meet new people and become a better student and musician. Our school is a place where you can thrive being yourself and it helps you to grow deeper in faith and character. Thank you to everyone who supports OLSH - your generosity allows us to become better people! – Grace Quigley, ‘13

Thank You!

Thank you for your generous donations that allow my classmates and me to attend a truly great school that has guided me to develop a deeper relationship with God. Participating in OLSH campus ministry and the Marion group has allowed me to grow in my faith. I have learned that faith is a journey, not just a destination and I am looking to continue that journey in the coming years. – Marisa Sparbanie, ‘14

OLSH has such a family-like atmosphere. The teachers are very understanding here and they are more than willing to make sure that you understand the lessons being taught. Thank you for supporting our great school! – CJ Benzinger ‘15

I love OLSH because it is so welcoming and comforting. I got involved with the basketball team and it’s been incredible. The coaches will do anything to help you do better, both on and off the court. Our team is like a family, we push each other to do better even when we want to give up. We strive for greatness! Thank you for supporting OLSH and giving us the opportunity to learn and play in such a great environment. – Cedric Gray, ‘15

Often the question is asked, “Where does the money go?” The short answer is that all proceeds from the gifts acknowledged in this report directly impact the students of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School. Tuition and fees fund the necessities that allow us to provide our students with a basic education, while gifts from you assist us in providing a truly transformational experience for all OLSH students. It has been a blessing to receive each and every gift, and on behalf of the OLSH students, faculty, staff and administration, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Gratefully,

OLSH Legacy Gala The 2012 OLSH Legacy Gala was held at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport on Saturday, March 31. This year’s Legacy Gala continued the tradition of celebrating OLSH while advancing our mission. The 2012 Legacy Award was given to alumni parents Mr. and Mrs. Ronald and Cathy Tisch in appreciation for their support of OLSH, both financially and for serving as examples of good Christian stewards. Guests of the gala, including faculty, staff, parents, alumni and friends of OLSH, enjoyed live entertainment from alumni parent Mike Gallagher while engaging in friendly competition bidding on coveted items. This year’s event was the most successful ever, raising over $82,000 for OLSH while providing an opportunity for the OLSH community to celebrate our school.

Scholarships and Endowed Funds Very special thanks to those who helped to make an OLSH education attainable by donating to tuition assistance. Many of our families need additional financial support, which comes from tuition assistance donations, scholarships and endowed funds. Gifts to these funds enable talented young men and women to earn a transformative OLSH education.

The following is a list of ways you can partner with us to provide a student with an OLSH education: ADOPT A STUDENT PROGRAM – This program is an opportunity for individuals
