General Manager
“I am delighted to share with you the enthusiasm for World Tourism Forum Lucerne and look forward to seeing you at the next Forum from 17 – 19 April 2013 in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The times when each business worked individually on strategy have given way to an era that regards partnership and cooperation as core values. While new business models are needed to face the challenges that lie in store, we must also acknowledge that an entirely new dimension has been added to management, one that will force us to redraw the roadmap of the tourism, travel and hospitality industry. Although numerous tourism, travel and hospitality conventions and trade fairs are held around the world, World Tourism Forum Lucerne is the only platform where international top-level decision makers from industry, government, academia and finance can discuss future challenges together with the next generation. We are convinced that thinking about the future will help us make sustainable decisions today. It is this conviction that inspires us to develop World Tourism Forum Lucerne as a regular platform for industry leaders and to establish it as a think tank in which new ideas can unfold.
