Welcome to H0018! After all the hard work and preparations you have finally made it! The sun may have baked the earth and burnt our necks while the rain soaked our shirts, but the tents are going up and the jamboree we have all been waiting for has arrived. “With hundreds of young people camping, increasing to over 1000 for Wednesday’s ‘Monster Day out’, it promises to be an amazing week” commented event coordinator, Dom. “Keep cool and dry everyone!”

This daily newspaper is for you, written by you and so we need your help! Got a story? Someone’s birthday or anniversary? Taken a great photo? Don’t keep it to yourself... share it with the World! The Daily Monster’s team of reporters are poised, pencils sharpened, in the Media Hub to welcome your input. WIN!!! Prizes for the best contributions and if your story or photo is published you will be famous (well nearly!)

Have you seen News Monster or News Hound? News Monster is our new Daily Monster mascot and will be joining our old friend News Hound (from H0014) spending the week travelling the world of H0018, meeting as many of you as possible. If you are lucky enough to meet either of them, please sign their passport and add your name and group. Take a selfie and bring it to the Media Hub - if your picture gets printed you win a prize.

It will bring you interviews and music at breakfast and dinner times along with assorted programming throughout the day. We would like all participants to be able to contribute to our station. So... what is where?
Sunday Arrangements Participant arrival: 2pm to 7pm. T shirts and badges can be collected from the Souvenir Shop. All cars should park in the grass carpark, which can be found on the first left having entered the site entrance road. Leaders are asked to meet their under 18s on arrival and direct them to their camping area and please encourage parents to leave as soon as possible. Please pitch all the tents you will need throughout the week straight away, even for those joining you later. Opening Ceremony – 8pm at the stage. Wear your necker!
Wristbands On the inside of each wristband please write the name of the wearer. This is very important in case the wearer of the wristband can’t remember to which group they belong.
