Huntsville, Alabama: A Legacy of Innovation Since the early 1950s, Huntsville has been a national center for space and defense technology. Known as Rocket City USA, we have built on the legacy of the Saturn V, through the Shuttle era, and are leading development of NASA’s Space Launch System today. Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal are the location of choice for the best and brightest engineers and scientists, and we have been nationally recognized by Inc., Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal as one of America’s leading tech communities. Our local and state leaders foster business success by providing a dynamic education system, a high quality of life, a low cost of living and doing business, and the infrastructure necessary for growth. With the highest concentration of engineers and tech workers in the country, the Huntsville region is a smart place to live, learn, work, and play. 3
