About the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber

The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber serves as the catalyst for economic development activities in our community. It serves as a single point of contact for prospective and existing businesses in their efforts to establish a new business or to expand existing operations. The Chamber is also the coordinating agency for companies interested in locating in the area’s research and industrial parks or anywhere in the Huntsville/Madison County area.

The following outlines the proper use of the organization’s name and how to properly refer to it in written form.

The official name is The Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County, Inc., which must be used for official documentation.

The organization is referred to as the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, which is how it should be named in outward-facing copy, matching the brand.

SOLID STATURE

This is the preferred logo version. Use whenever possible to ensure consistency and avoid brand confusion.

FOCUSED MESSAGE

This is the preferred logo version when being used internationally or wanting to stress actual site.

QUICK HIT

This logomark is for special cases in which the full logo isn’t necessary.

The logo should appear black or fullcolor on a light background. On dark backgrounds, the logo should appear white or full-color. Always use the full-color version as the primary logo –whether with black or white lettering.

For limited use, there is a vertical treatment for difficult spacing:

When using the logo with other graphic elements, make sure you give the logo some room.

Use column width to judge additional space needed around logo or logomark

Typography

The logo should never be reproduced for print any smaller than 90px.

The logomark should never be reproduced for print any smaller than 35px.

Smallest size for web & mobile use: 75px.

Smallest size for web & mobile use: 25px.

The primary logo configuration should be considered the first choice.

The logomark should be used as an icon representing the main logo.

In our brand, consistency is key.

Smallest size for thumbnail use: 45px.

Smallest size for thumbnail use: 15px.

PLAY NICE

The logo must be used as is and not be altered in any way.

This means that you must not:

1. Change the logo’s orientation or rotation.

2. Disproportionately scale or resize the logo.

3. Change the logo’s colors.

4. Display the logo in a configuration not previously specified.

5. Attempt to recreate the logo.

6. Make alterations to the logo’s text.

7. Add special effects to the logo.

8. Add an outline to the logo or display the logo as an outline.

9. Use the logo on top of busy image.

10. Crop the logo in any way.

The Chamber logo has seven main colors – blue, purple, magenta, red, orange, yellow and green – plus black.

In the full-color logo, there also are five secondary hues.

DEEPER TONES

These shades are only used when darker colors are necessary in design – not for use in the logo.

You may see the logo used by the organization with a special color treatment such as this example used for patriotic/government events. This usage is at the discretion of and should only be used by the Chamber staff.

As with our logo, consistent use of our fonts – Futura STD and Open Sans – reinforces the Chamber’s brand identity. The font used in the Chamber logo is Futura STD Bold.
