Program Description Spark is a deep dive into our community over five days where class members will learn about current developments in our area as well as some of the challenges our city is facing. This new one-week program is designed for college students who are emerging leaders that are passionate about our community and want to learn how to make a difference. This program is also a workforce retention effort to help keep these talented students in the North Alabama area after graduation.

SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE Reenergizing the Business of Safety and Health! This three-day conference is scheduled for August 30 – September 1, 2021. The host hotel for all conference activities is the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama. There will be a general session on Monday and Wednesday mornings, along with technical breakout sessions beginning late Monday morning and all day Tuesday. General session speakers will address key issues affecting the work environment and provide pertinent information on current topics of interest. Breakout sessions will include topics covering a wide range of occupational safety, health and environmental subjects plus updates on regulatory matters. The conference program will blend new and traditional topics based on requests from past participants.
