WELCOME
and we will be raising money through our Give the Gift of Theatre campaign to ensure as many children as possible have their first taste of theatre through funded tickets to see these productions.
to our Autumn Season. This is one of our favourite times of the year, as our magical Christmas productions begin to take shape. We are very excited to be doing two Christmas shows again, both exploring flight and flying.
Mark will also be directing our second coproduction with the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, which is a dark comedy thriller and a piece he has been wanting to bring to Hull audiences for some time.
With young families ourselves, we love making these shows as captivating as possible and an experience the whole family will continue to talk about throughout the year. For the littlies we are again working in association with The Herd to create a new production – How to Fly like a Reindeer. For our family show (which gets bigger each year!) Deborah McAndrew has adapted the J.M.Barrie Classic Peter Pan, and alongside the team that brought you Oliver Twist will be creating an enchanting neverland that explores how there is a little of piece of all of us that never quite grows up!
There is also plenty to see in our visiting programme, highlights include a varied comedy programme as part of Hull Comedy Festival and the Brilliant Hull Jazz festival in November.
A key part of our vision for Hull Truck Theatre is to ensure as many people as possible can experience live theatre. Theatre at Christmas is extra special,
As ever you the audience, and our community, is what makes this theatre come alive and we look forward to welcoming you and sharing the joy of live theatre over the next 6 months.

PETER PAN BY J.M.BARRIE
ADAPTED BY DEBORAH McANDREW DIRECTED BY MARK BABYCH Join Wendy and Peter Pan for a magical family adventure in Neverland. HOW TO FLY LIKE A REINDEER A SOARING CHRISTMAS SHOW Reindeer fly. Peter Pan flies. Fairies fly. So why can’t I? Nina desperately wants to fly. To taste the clouds. To race a reindeer. To visit her Grandma at Christmas. Because Christmas time is Grandma time, but Nina’s just moved house and this year they’re 900 miles apart. She flaps. She spins. She swoops. But will she fly? Following the huge popularity of The Ugly Duckling Christmas Special last year, Hull Truck Theatre have teamed up with The Herd once more with this touching story about superpowers, family and being far from home. A Christmas spectacle for 2-5 year olds and their families, told with original music.

NO MAN’S LAND BY HAROLD PINTER | DIRECTED BY MICHAEL CABOT
A chance meeting between two writers in a North London pub leads to an alcohol-fuelled night of verbal sparring. Hirst, a wealthy recluse, invites Spooner, a downat-heel poet, to his Hampstead townhouse for a nightcap. As the whisky flows, their stories become more elaborate and improbable, until the arrival of two younger men forces events to take an unexpected turn.
In his most beguiling and atmospheric play, Pinter interweaves truth, language and memory to create a world of dark comedy and subtle power games.
"One of the handful of indisputable modern classics that Pinter has written, and a piece that will haunt and tantalise the memory of all who see it.” The Telegraph
