Our tape dispensing equipment is one of the easiest ways for you to save time and money whilst reducing waste. We stock tape dispenser guns, bench clamp tape dispensers, gummed paper tape dispensers, bag neck sealers and carton sealing machines to make your life easier.

Our Tape Brands include:

• Denva Our general purpose acrylic packaging tape, Denva Tape (in either clear or bu ) is the trusted standard for packaging tape users.

• E-Tape Available in clear and bu (brown), a key feature of E-Tape is the small core and big roll length - up to 150 metres - nearly three times the amount of tape per roll compared with standard packaging tape! This means fewer roll changes for you when used with one of our E-Tape silent dispensers.

• V-Pro V-Pro is a premium range of vinyl (PVC) tape for heavy duty applications. The tape has a solvent adhesive which gives you excellent adhesive power. It is resistant to humidity and temperature changes and can therefore be used for refrigerated products.

• Texus Polypropylene tape with hotmelt adhesive.

Gummed Paper Tape

Water activated plain and reinforced gummed paper tape from Hub Packaging is environmentally friendly as the product is paper-based and 100% recyclable. This type of tape is strong, reliable and resistant to humidity and temperature changes. As the tape forms a material bond with the carton once it is applied, it provides a tamper evident seal. Any attempt to open will result in obvious damage to the carton.

Special environmentally friendly water-based inks are used when printing a bespoke design. Hand & Machine Stretch Film Solutions

Our solutions include ush core hand pallet wrap, extended core hand pallet wrap, mini rolls of wrap and machine pallet wrap.

We supply pre-stretch pallet wrap, custom printed stretch wrap, handy wrap mini stretch lm plus Hub Packaging’s own Polly Protect polythene pallet top covers and pallet hoods.

To complement these solutions, we supply customers with dispensers and wrapping machines built to the highest standards for maximum e ciency and protection.

Our Megastretch Plus lms are manufactured with a performance enhancing additive, designed to increase strength, reduce thickness and ultimately reduce the weight of the packaging used.

Shrink Films

Heat Shrink Packaging

Heat shrink wrap is a plastic lm wrapped around your product and heated with a heat shrink gun (such as Ripack®) or shrink machine. This causes the lm to shrink tightly around your item. Heat shrink packaging has several applications from protecting your items in transit, to slick point of sale packaging, to securing your irregular pallet loads.

Centre Folded PVC (Polyvinyl) Shrink Films

These are designed to protect and enhance the sales presentation of your goods such as CD’s, DVD’s, games and stationery items.

• PVC (polyvinyl) shrinks at approx 80°C and retracts by 50%.

• Available in multiple sizes ranging from 19 micron to 25 micron.

• Alternatively, we stock polyole n (POF) shrink lm which has a high puncture resistance because of its incredible strength. Polyole n (POF) shrink lms would be recommended for wrapping any odd-shaped products you may have.

3. Strapping

Strapping

The use of strapping around - either your own products or the packaging that’s being used to protect themis widely used in industrial and warehouse applications. Our variety of strapping products and related tools and accessories is an essential category for many customers.

Types of strapping we sell:

POLYPROPYLENE: the most popular choice of all the strapping material available. Straps and secures pallet, crates, or for bundling heavy items.

POLYESTER: one of the strongest forms of strapping in the market, for very heavy duty applications. Can be secured with hand tools or automated strapping machines.

WOVEN: as strong as steel but six times lighter. Features higher elongation and shock absorption properties.

BALE: bale strapping is the ideal solution when compacting bales or awkward loads. It is a strong safe material that is simply hand tied or used in a bailer or waste compactor.

Strapping Kits

For each strapping type, we supply a variety of tools and consumables including trolleys, buckles, seals, tensioners and sealers. If you’re new to strapping we even provide a plastic (polypropylene) budget starter kit which has everything that you need.

Polypropylene Strapping

Hub Packaging stocks the Tenso range of strong polypropylene strapping for semi-automatic strapping machines. Tenso is supplied on cardboard cores and in roll lengths of 3000m and 4000m in either blue or white.

Foam Protection

We stock a wide range of foam products to protect and cushion your goods ready for storage or shipping. From foam rolls, foam corner protectors and foam blocks, we can provide all the foam protection products you require to safely package your goods.

Foam rolls

Rolls of foam enable you to e ectively package ceramic, glass and metal goods of all shapes and sizes. Choosing foam rolls allows you the freedom to use as much or as little as required; simply cut a foam sheet from the roll to your exact shape and dimensions. Foam rolls are often used to package sanitary ware, crockery and glassware to provide a protective cushion to prevent scrapes and scratches.

Foam protection

Hub Packaging is a leading distributor of high-density foam protection. Our foam protection products give you outstanding corner and edge protection to an almost limitless selection of products that need solid protection from bumps, scrapes or impact damage. Foam corner and edge protection is available in a range of pro les including L-shaped, U-shaped, tulip and round corner. We also supply foam blocks which give a very versatile solution if you wish to use foam protection for separation of fragile products that need to withstand impacts.

Corner and Edge Protection

Corner and edge protectors come in an array of shapes and sizes enabling you to shield the edges of any product no matter how large or small.

We stock edge protectors suitable for glass or metal sheets, as well as corners for furniture, picture frames and mirrors. Corner protection can be used inside or outside boxes.

Silica Gel and Desiccants

These pouches absorb unwanted moisture in and around your goods to e ectively prolong and prevent rust, mildew, and corrosion. The addition of a desiccant or silica gel to your packages, such as electrical goods, clothing, and optical equipment, can help maintain the quality in transit or storage. We stock a range of sachet sizes to suit various product dimensions and they are fully home compostable.

Loose Fill

When transporting items that do not quite ll the box in which they are placed, using void ll chips can protect against potential damage.

Our BioFil loose ll is not only constructed from maize based starch but is also compostable and 100% biodegradable, meaning it is environmentally friendly too. Even better; our void ll packaging solution has been proven to be a popular choice for customers mindful of environmental consideration when choosing their packaging products. Hub Packaging Air Pillow Void Fill

Air pillows are the modern-day replacement for bubble wrap and you get a lot more ll for the same amount of plastic in a product that typically takes up less space to ship and store than a shoe box.

• Before use, the lm is supplied on a small, compact roll that needs very little storage space, massively reducing the carbon footprint of transport compared with bubble wrap.

• When in ated, the lm creates a continuous, perforated roll of pillows used to ll gaps between contents, or quilting for lining cartons and layering. After use, it’s easily punctured and compacted for recycling - or in the case of our Bio lm, for home composting.

Bio lm Air Pillows

Hub Packaging bio lm is made from natural by-products of the potato processing industry - sustainable use of material that would otherwise go to waste.

In use, it performs equally as well as plastic air pillow but when you mix it into your compost heap at home it very quickly disintegrates into tiny particles and within six months, all that’s left of it is water, carbon dioxide and a few harmless minerals.

Sealed Air® Instapak® Cushioning

Instantly produce your own moulded bespoke foam ttings with InstaPak® quick RT. This self-expanding foam helps to protect delicate items when in storage or transit.

Users simply place any desired item on top of the InstaPak® bag, add pressure and the foam will begin to expand and surround. Ideal for any fragile or high value items.

Sealed Air® Kraft Paper Void Fill & Padding

Natural kraft paper is a sustainable, recyclable and biodegradable packaging material, and our Sealed Air® FasFil EZ and ProPAD equipment quickly convert it from compact paper stacks to high-bulk void ll and padding material. Whether you use polypropylene, polyester or steel strapping, we can supply all the strapping tools you require to strap e ciently. Our ergonomically designed combination tools save time when you are tensioning and sealing polypropylene strapping on a at surface.

Simple and easy to use, these plastic strapping tools are available to suit a range of uses from light to heavy duty. For even faster strapping, consider investing in a cordless friction welding tool, capable of tensioning, sealing and cutting both polypropylene or polyester strapping with a single handed operation. Compared against standard stretch lms, switching to GripFilm Stretch Film makes both practical and economic sense. Designed to maximise productivity when using Xtra Grip Stretch Film, a new, unique lightweight and ergonomically designed stretch lm dispenser. We also o er heavy duty hand pallet wrap dispensers for busy dispatch departments.

Pallet Wrapping Machines

At Hub Packaging we take your pallet load stability very seriously. That’s why we have a strong range of pallet wrapping machinery available for purchase or rental.

Starting at the entry level semi-automatic wrapping machines which are simply “plug and play” with intuitive controls, we supply equipment right up to high performance power pre-stretch and standard core turntable machines with fully variable programmes.

With a variety of mast heights and turntable diameters available, we can help you achieve an optimum wrap on every load. Other accessories such as pallet truck access ramps are also available from Hub Packaging.

Case Tapers / Sealers

Hub Packaging supply xed and random size case tapers for for high volume sealing of the top and bottom of your cartons. We can also design and supply infeed and outfeed conveyor rollers designed speci cally to work with your packaging equipment.

Impulse Heat Sealers

Ripack® Gas Heat Shrink System

Hub Packaging are the authorised Ripack®distributor for Ireland.

Ripack® is a premium brand of heat shrink gun system designed to shrink the polythene cover or sheet tightly around the your pallet load for protection and stability. Powered by propane gas, Ripack® gas heat shrink guns are ergonomic, lightweight, safe and easy to use. We stock the Ripack® 2200 gas heat shrink gun and can supply the 3000 series system on request. We also stock a wide range of spare parts for the Ripack® 2000/2200/3000 series as well as a stable trolley stand for the system and gas.

Hub Packaging stock a range of heat sealers of various widths both with and without a cutter.

A heat sealer with a cutter can be used to trim or make customised bags from your lay at tubing or polythene bags. A heat-sealed bag ensures that your product is tamper proof, air and water tight and hygienic. Heat sealer spare parts including elements and upper te on are also available from Hub Packaging.

Does your company generate high volumes of waste cardboard? An industrial cardboard shredder may be a great way to repurpose and recycle your cardboard waste as sustainable packaging material. A cardboard shredder works in a similar way to a paper shredder for your cardboard waste. Rather then shredding cardboard in small particles this machine turns regular cardboard into high quality and eco-friendly packaging material, matting or void ll material.

Seal and shrink with heat shrink chambers from Hub Packaging. These low energy consumption machines are built on a castored mobile stand and feature advanced electronic controls.

Polythene (Poly) Bags

Hub Packaging stocks a huge range of poly bags in di erent sizes and strengths. These bags are perfect for protecting your goods from dust and moisture either during production or in transit to the end-user.

Included in the range are self-seal polybags, polythene mailing bags, vest-type carrier bags for retail, rubble sacks, woven polypropylene sacks, FIBC/tonne bags and refuse sacks. Looking for ant-static bags for electronics? We supply these as well as anti-static bubble wrap bags.

Bubble Bags

Sealed Air® AirCap® bubble bags provide excellent cushioning for your fragile or small delicate products. The transparent bags are lightweight with a peel-and-seal lip for ease of use.

Hub Packaging also stocks pink tinted anti-static AirCap® bubble bags which are designed to protect your sensitive contents against static charges. This is especially suited to mobile phones, PCB boards and other electrical equipment.

Grip-Seal Bags

Hub Packaging stocks the Pro-loc® range of grip-seal bags. At the top of each bag is a simple single or double locking ridge that clicks shut and pulls open for continual reuse making it very easy to use. An ideal product for storing your small parts.

Grip-seal bags are available in plain or with a write-on panel and come in many di erent sizes and gauges.

Protect your invoices and receipts in-transit with our range of plain and printed ‘documents enclosed’ envelope labels. These clear, plastic wallets come with a tough, self-adhesive backing, giving a strong hold that lasts. Cartons

Hub Packaging stock an extensive range of boxes and cartons from small postal boxes to large heavy-duty export cartons.

Our carton range includes single wall and double wall corrugated cardboard boxes. Whatever type of container you’re looking for we will have a product to suit the job. We also produce bespoke corrugated cardboard boxes created just for youeither custom printed or plain.

Cardboard Sheets

Depending on your storage and shipping methods, Hub Packaging features a wide range of cardboard sheets, all of which provide durable protection and reliable lining for objects with fragile exteriors.

Cardboard sheeting is available in both single and double walled grade, both of which feature a unique, corrugated cardboard construction. Manufactured to the highest standard and approximately 3mm in thickness (single walled) or 7mm (double walled), they are perfect when used as a cushioning agent or as a layer sheet.

Rolls of Corrugated Paper

One the most versatile products in our range, our low cost, high quality corrugated paper rolls are suited to multiple applications and a wide variety of uses.

We stock a comprehensive range of widths, all on 75mtr rolls and whether you need to pack, void ll, wrap or protect our exible corrugated paper on a roll is the product of choice.

Paper Sheets & Rolls

We stock a vast range of paper sheets and rolls for all your wrapping and packing needs. Manufactured from the highest quality materials we can supply papers for wrapping, padding, protecting, void lling and presentation needs.

We o er a complete range of kraft paper rolls and sheets. Pure kraft paper rolls are a high quality, all purpose packaging material. Made from 100% virgin paper from sustainable forestry sources this 70gsm or 90gsm brown kraft paper is suitable for medium to heavy duty use, and approved by the Post O ce for sending items through the mail.

For an environmentally friendly packing solution, consider recycled paper rolls in a choice of 70gsm or 80gsm. Made from 100% recycled paper, our recycled paper rolls are fully recyclable after use. Ribbed brown kraft paper is also available in sheets, perfect for shops and packaging counters. Made from 70gsm paper, our 100% recycled brown kraft paper sheets are available in packs of 50 or 250 sheets.

We also stock speciality kraft papers. Waxed kraft paper is suitable for wrapping oily or greasy components that may be at risk of corrosion.

One of the most versatile paper products in our range is our tissue paper, ideal for use as wrapping paper, ller paper or for general craft use.

Cardboard ‘L’ Shaped Edge Boards

Cardboard edge protectors are frequently used to stabilise, reinforce and protect pallet loads during storage and transit. Edge protectors brace and further protect palletised goods from strapping and or shrink wrap. They can also be used to further strengthen the edges of cardboard boxes, either inside or outside the box.

Manufactured from compressed recycled cardboard, cardboard edges can be used time and time again and then recycled when they are past their best. We carry a huge range of edge boards ready for next-day delivery.

Corrugated Corner Protectors

Corrugated corner protectors are a cost-e ective and eco-friendly form of corner protection for use with stretch wrap, shrink lm, or light strapping.

Made of 15mm thick, 6-ply corrugated cardboard they are a recyclable, and biodegradable solution to protect the edges of consignments.

Taping & Sealing

How do you secure your boxed products – are you still using plastic tapes, which slowly (if ever) biodegrade and have to be segregated from waste card before recycling?

Here’s a few options to consider:

Hub Packaging Water Activated Tape

Hub Packaging water activated tape is the ultimate eco-friendly case taping method. Made from natural kraft paper carrier and starch adhesive it’s 100% sustainable, 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable without having to be segregated from cardboard.

Water activated tape protects your contents better than any other carton seal

It’s the most e ective way to securely seal a carton, giving the highest level of permanent adhesion, high burst strength and tamper-evidence. This gives Hub Packaging water activated tape an additional eco-advantage – damaged goods will either be returned for repair or replacement (increased carbon footprint) or discarded (extra recycling costs or added land ll).

It’s also proven to be more cost-e ective than plastic pressure-sensitive tape in the order ful lment sector, as less tape is needed for a satisfactory seal. Dispensed in pre-set or programmable lengths, it’s also faster than using a hand tape dispenser.

Hub Packaging water activated tape is available in natural, snow white and oyster kraft and with glass bre reinforcement strands for enhanced burst resistance. Tape thicknesses range from 60gsm to 90gsm and 125gsm reinforced. Tape widths range from 24mm to 96mm.

Hub Packaging Kraft Paper Eco Tapes

If you prefer to use a pressure-sensitive tape but want to stay green, Hub Packaging kraft paper tape with solvent adhesive is your answer as it’s biodegradable. Available in natural kraft, it blends well with brown corrugated card and is less susceptible to creasing than plastic tape, so presentation is excellent.

Supplied in widths ranging from 25mm to 75mm and with a 75mm cardboard core, it’s compatible with pistol grip and bench mounted tape dispensers.

Masking tape is used for sealing packages when a temporary hold is needed that doesn’t leave residue when removed.

Hot melt glue sticks are another way of quickly and securely sealing packages, and with four formulations to choose from, the StickfastTM range has a glue for everyone.

Hot melt glue is particularly good for presentation packaging, where tape would obliterate printed areas, and is also permanent and tamper-evident. Hub Packaging edge boards are manufactured in almost any length up to 2 metres, or even longer on request and almost any thickness and width. They are also available with a moisture-resistant liner for sustained use in high-humidity or outdoor conditions.

Hub Packaging Corrugated Corner & Edge Protectors

Six-ply corrugated cardboard is excellent for absorbing impacts and these corner and edge protectors are popular for transportation and storage of larger items such as appliances.

They are made from 100% recyclable and biodegradable cardboard from sustainable and recycled sources.

Pallet Stretch Film

More grip, more economical and less waste than standard stretch lms. Compared against standard stretch lms, switching to Grip Film makes both practical and economic sense. High-yield, lightweight, sustainable solutions. Converting standard stretch material via a secondary process, lm is pre-stretched to its maximum elasticity, converting a high yield lm to a reduced-thickness performance solution with improved e ciencies and environmental savings.

Grip Film o ers a reduced consumption of up to 50% material due to increased yield per roll. The reduced thickness equates to much less plastic needed per wrap, resulting in not only cost savings but huge waste savings.

Grip Film is safe to use in ambient, chilled and cold store environments. The opaque white lm e ectively re ects the sun, protecting goods from harsh sun rays and heat damage.

Grip Film Dispenser

Designed to maximise productivity when using Grip Film, a new, unique lightweight and ergonomically designed stretch lm dispenser.

Kraft Paper Void Fill & Padding

As we’ve already mentioned, natural kraft paper is a sustainable, recyclable and biodegradable packaging material, and our kraft paper systems, including the Sealed Air® FasFil EZ and ProPAD , quickly convert it from compact paper stacks to high-bulk void ll and padding material.

Hub Packaging Bio lm Air Pillows

Hub Packaging bio lm is made from natural by-products of the potato processing industry – sustainable use of material that would otherwise go to waste. In use, it performs equally as well as plastic air pillow but when you mix it into your compost heap at home it very quickly disintegrates into tiny particles and within six months, all that’s left of it is water, carbon dioxide and a few harmless minerals.

Air pillows are the modern-day replacement for bubble wrap and you get a lot more ll for the same amount of plastic in a product that typically takes up less space than a shoe box!

• Before use, the lm is contained in a small, compact roll that needs very little storage space and massively reduces the carbon footprint of transport when compared with bubble wrap.

• When in ated the lm creates a continuous, perforated roll of pillows used to ll gaps between contents, or quilting for lining cartons and layering.

Protega Paper Cushion Coiler

The Protega paper cushioning coiler is an optional attachment to the Protega paper machine which is programmed to produce paper coils at preset lengths. When you remove the paper cushion coil the machine automatically dispenses another coil.

This is for companies that have a high volume need for regular sized coils. This has been used as an alternative to corrugated cardboard inserts or moulded pulp trays.
