Historic movie/series brief

Movie/series name: Jodha Akbar Islamic period: Mughal empire - in India - 1526–1761.

Story brief: The history show is about a sixteenth-century story of a politically instigated marriage between Akbar, Mughal emperor, and Jodha, Rajput princess. The marriage eventually breeds love and changes in Rajput and Mughal’s political history. In search of peace and safe, the King Bharmal (Rajput king) to propose his daughter’s marriage to the Mughal emperor, Akbar. The emperor accepted the marriage proposal as it would result in peace and a strong alliance between the Rajputs and the Mughals. The period drama also highlights how the working of the kingdoms and their different religions influence Jodha and Akbar’s love story.


Inspirational scene or feeling abstracted from the movie: -The emperor urges the people to respect all religions for peace and prosperity. Through their unequivocal love, Akbar and Jodha made history throughout Mughal and Rajput. The emperor disguises himself as common folk to understand the issues of his people. Akbar gives rights to all religions in his kingdom. -When Akbar accepted the conditions of Jodha, She lets the emperor know that she will maintain her Hindu faith, and a temple must be built for her after marriage. Akbar says yes. -When Jodha accepted to return to Jalal al-Din after he accused her of treason with Sujamal.

- is a comparatively scarce material in many parts of the Islamic world.

- India was partially conquered by the Arabs as early as the 8thc.

-displays the very highest levels of workmanship.

- India was under the control of the Muslim Mughals at that time. Indo-Islamic arts and architecture are closely related to Hindu forms. As a result, a distinctive and unique IndoIslamic cultural pattern was formed

- it was used for doors and window shutters which are frequently inlaid - In the Islamic world the skills of carpentry were traditionally associated with geometry.

- Mughal period (which lasted from the 16th-19thc. CE (10th-13th AH). - All the classical forms of decoration and marble patterns are wonderfully represented in the tombs and the decorative panels of red sandstone are also beautifully used in Fatpur Sikri.
