On this occasion we would like to showcase selected photos from woman photographers. HP is one the few groups which is proud to have so many talented woman photo artists from different parts of the world. These ladies come from diverse fields and professions and yet the common passion for photography binds them . We are extremely pleased to present these visual delights from all genres-Landscapes/Architecture/Cityscapes/Portraits/Street/ Macro/ Wildlife in this Special Edition Magazine .

Barbara Schmidt graduated in Administrative Sciences and worked for 40 years as a civil servant. She hails from Ruhr area, Germany, and there and all over the world she has been on the road with her Fuji XT2 since 2014. As a self-taught photographer with various interests in photography, she does not visit places with some specific pictures in mind. And comes back with pictures of common subjects presented in her own unique point of view. This approach has helped her beat the stereo-type and come up with unique and successful images. I´m not a profesisonal photographer, I´m a nurse who takes photos.I like all genres of photos, especially landscapes. I like nature and the great open landscapes. I like to walk. I try above all to enjoy making photos. I try to faithfully reflect the grandeur of the landscapes I visit. And it seems that this also likes more people. But I only pretend that I like it. Since my childhood I have been interested in arts and I’ve always felt the need for poetry, beauty and visual expression. I like travelling, getting to know more about various cultures, learning about human fate and discovering the beauties of nature. What I like in photography that I can express my feelings, capture the fate of people, tell an entire story, point out the beauty of nature or the beauty of a human creation. I’ve found out that there are more possibilities hidden in black-and-white imagery, allows putting individual features in the spotlight, captures the essence and it has a stronger representation of abstraction. While taking pictures I experience the “flow”, as this activity gives me a perfect feeling of relaxation and pleasure. My name is Fina León, I am passionate about landscape photography both dayand night, which fits perfectly with my other two hobbies, traveling and nature.Ever since I started I have not stopped training by attending workshops, photographic trips and everything that is related to it, to improve both the technique and the editing, and incidentally, live beautiful experiences and meeting wonderful people. I try to convey with my photography what I see and feel at that moment. The movement of the Clouds and the calm of the water seem like a good combination for landscape photography. Maria Luisa Milla Moreno “I am María Luisa Milla Moreno, born and based in Córdoba, Spain, although I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, and it was there where I received my degree as an architect, a profession that I currently practice. Since I was very young I have felt a close bond with nature and art but it wasn’t until 2012 that I realized that my camera could help me express the meaning of that bond. I like to photograph my dogs with whom I take long walks in the forest, an activity that gives me inner peace. With the passing of time and thanks to those walks, I have discovered the ephemeral beauty and elegance of the miniature world that is bursting with life under our feet, and it was through that discovery that I decided to pursue macro photography. This type of photography has given me the most fascinating and dramatic close-ups I have in my portfolio, and dramatically changed my perception of insects. During my childhood, insects were my archenemies, a cause of unwarranted terror. After the first images I captured of them, I developed a curiosity for each of their stories and I began to understand that among their silences or buzzes was a desire to survive on this fierce planet. They live absorbed in their mini world, indifferent to our presence, generously showing me their tiny environment as a large and interesting world, full of unlimited colors, textures and lights. The photography bug bit me when I held my daughter in my arms the first time. I remember being so amazed at her tiny fingers, her rosy lips, every day that she grew a tiny bit.... I was gripped by this passion to capture every significant moment of her life. And before I knew it, the camera became my extra pair of eyes, a part of me. I am a hobby photographer, and I love to capture moments. Expressions and life is what compels me to shoot in a frame. I click almost everything. Wildlife, landscapes, people, life on the street, nature in all its glory.... This wonderful art and craft has given me so much joy, that now I have started sharing it with this special segment of our society, who we call as Special Needs people. I am proud to say that I teach smartphone photography to 15 young adults with the Down Syndrome, some of who have serious motor skills issues, and some who cannot even speak clearly.

But they are all turning into such fine photographers, that I suspect this was always God’s design to put the camera in my hands so I can reach out to these special friends. 41
