INSTINTO reflects two musical characteristics that Maia more remembered, the first Caribbean, with Latin sounds and songs that convey the listener to the strength and energy that define the personality of the artist, and a second one, the facet that Maia shows on her pop songs performed with passion, showing a woman of deep and sincere feelings. About MAIA
Mónica Andrea Vives Orozco (Maía), known professionally
as Maia which borned of a combination of her initials and the island where she grew up, the Puerto Colombia bay. In 1988, she won the Colombia Suena Bien contest arranged by Sony Music. In 2002, Maia released with Sony Music on her first single “Niña Bonita”, part of the Album “Baile de los Sueños” with whom she scored a double platinum and was positioned at different stations in the country.
The theme was the soundtrack of Tv novel of RCN Television "La costeña y el cachaco". In 2005, she reappears whit the album "Natural", whose main song "Ingenuidad". In 2012 she helped to Carlos Vives in the TV Show "La Voz Colombia" and a year later he participated in the TV Show "La Pista" with BNF like her group, remaining as one of the semifinalists.
She has given more than 600 concerts in Colombia and in different countries, sharing the stage with artists such as Juanes, Eliades Ochoa (Buena Vista Social Club), Cheo Feliciano, Fonseca, Robi Draco Rosa and Ricky Martin, among others.
Currently, she is working in the released of the special edition of her album "Instinto" where has included a DVD with some live versions, the latest video clips and a special, the artist was Nominated for a Latin Grammy for "Best New Artist" , winner of tow awards Luna, She shared the stage with Buena Vista Social Club, Armando Manzanero, Juanes, Ricky Martin and Roby Draco.

Since three years ago, I have worked in photographic, I chose that, because I discovered that was the perfect way to represent the life moments in a image using the graphic design concepts. My specialty is photographing fashion, mainly women, always trying to touch various topics. Other than that, I wanted to highlight in women's fashion.

Twelve years ago, I came to Palma de Mallorca by my sisters, they had been lived a long time there. Since the first time I was in love with the island, so I am living here. I miss the many miles I needed to go every day to get from one place to another. Buenos Aires is so large and the island is so small, that’s why I must not go so far. And of course I miss my mother and also my childhood friends too. I actually devote myself to the world of real estate, but when something interesting comes up that fits my profile and helps me to grow up in the fashion and photography world, I do it inspiringly because I like posing.
"So far I have had the opportunity to work with the great professional photographers of Madrid like Pedro Rodríguez and José Gomis. I try to groom myself in everything I’m able to without exaggeration, but I like to pamper myself, go out preppy with my heels, using creams, go to the gym every day ... but I have no qualms about eating what I want, neither I just eat salad. I am a very sensitive girl, I love animals and as a good taurus, I have a strong character but a good heart. My goal is to get a faster growing participation in the company where I work, where I can continue to learn and take more responsibility.
Personally, it is one of the most difficult things, when you think about that you're better and you can do it, I have a knack in my hands (laughing)... On this account I would like to qualify the title of professional makeup artist, since I have a lot of imagination and creativity, and this is what I really like to do. What you can do best is that what you should make, take it out of the question. We choose our destiny. And of course do this pending trip to this wonderful place.
I have been working in the photography world since four years ago. For me, this time was like a partnership who animated to me to pose in front of the camera, he said I had my own charm and my profile yielded it to do that. So I encouraged myself, and the first photographer for whom I posed turned out to be one of the best ones on the island where I live, and thanks to him I learned a lot and with his support, I also have met other professionals. He taught me to lose the fear and the shame in front of the cameras. I still remember my first session, it took hours and I finished soaked and was wiped out by the poses. But now I have very pretty memories of my beginnings and today I’m much more naturally.
In that time when I made the things like fashion and photography, I have had the opportunity to work with great professional photographers of Madrid and Mallorca and there are still pending several photo sessions with renowned photographers who have worked for major brands as well as journalists from the majorcan newspaper UH, for the newspaper MediterrĂĄneo Digital and for the Eden-Magazine of Madrid. I also had a brief participation in the video clip of the German singer Francisca Urio. And all that little by little, because I live here on a very small island and I'm very bounded because it is very difficult to move around in this world, but with effort and with the help of my friends and my contacts I will achieving my goals.Âť

will release their highly anticipated new album “SUPERMODEL” at the 18 of March with Columbia Records. Produced by Paul Epworth, the globally influenced Supermodel, means the continuation of Torches, their first album they released in 2011 which was critically acclaimed. “SUPERMODEL” was recorded at various locations around the world; it began at the end of 2012, when Mark Foster and Paul Epworth met in a sound studio in Essaouira, Morocco. "We had no rule. We just made so much music we were able to do in seven days, "says Foster, "And in the spirit of our desire to learn and to discover the world, we stumbled across the musical identity that holds this album." From Morocco, the album started moving around with Foster and the band. This job continued at the Woodshed Studios in Malibu, at Henson and Bronson Island in Los Angeles and finished at the study of Epworth in London.
The album “SÚPERMODEL” is available to pre-order as of now and includes an instant download of the first single "Coming Of Age" at fosterthepeople.com and other websites. going to change our nutritional habits, it is very easy. I propose to you the next: You have to start to read a bit more in the labels and nutritional information tables that commonly is given in the food packaging, where we can found the production of those, the counter of calories, the sodium, fat, carbs quantity and many others products that definitely we do not want through our body.
We continue with task little by little, you must to go looking for information on these products mentioned and terms used in them, it is easy, you can go take a little awareness about what experts tell us about it and thus talk a healthier language. I want to talk about in next edition of calories, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fruits, vegetables, antioxidants, organic food and fiber, but for now we will use just these concepts. If you want to help your body and learn about healthy cooking is very important to know about these and other research topics will be easier to start the best diet of healthy food.
For now, I want to tell you that it is so important to have many smalls meals throug the day, if our intake of calories is not big, our health would be good ( I insist to you, please do not change your habits whitout consulting your nutritionist) If you have three main meals and two moderate healthy meals between, you will begin to see significant changes, such as having more energy, lose weight and feel better health among others. When we are going to take the main meal at lunch and the food is great to have a menu with protein, carbohydrate, and vegetables, try not to exceed three food groups, half of the vegetable plate, a quarter protein and one quarter carbohydrates where the latter two do not have to be bigger than your fist, do not eat food after 6 pm.
Look for organic food as you can be possible, and avoid processed meals; when you cook your meals, never overcook the food, because it will lose their organoleptic characteristics (features we perceive the sense organs) and thus it lose the nutrients, tastes, smells and more properties of a good food that our bodies need to feel pleasure in the act of feeding.

Directions: Open the cucumbers, remove seeds and place them in a pot of boiling salted water for 10 minutes. The cucumbers should be opened over carefully so that after filling can be closed. Finely chop the red peppers, garlic and tomatoes. In a pan add oil and put the chopped vegetables to saute, then add the meat and seal well. Chop the bacon, capers and add to the meat with white rice already cooked, and finally fill with cucumbers on mixture and bring to the oven for 15 minutes in a pan with butter. Serve with a splash of olive oil and garnish with black sesame.

The people here even think that I was lying when I told them that it had only been a week since I had come. They thought that by the way I spoke I would have been here since months.
I have great luck and the skill to learn things very fast. I love the cuisine, eating and cooking, and of all the cultures. I always like to try everything in every country. I love singing, it helps me to let off steam and many times, I express my feelings through various songs, depending on my particular emotional condition in the moment. I like learning about anything, from the most insignificant to the greatest oddities, because it enriches me as a person. I'm super optimistic and when I feel that everything is going wrong with me, I just think that tomorrow it will be better. I think I'm a pretty self-assured person. I know what I want and what I like and that helps me to specify my goals and what I have to do to reach them. I have felt occasionally this uncertainty and indecision of not knowing what to do, but then I have come to a conclusion quickly."
