FAMILY TYPES AND PARAMETERS

The main aim of the assignment was to create three unique family types in Revit, each showcasing comprehensive parametric control. We initiated the process of developing these families by defining their geometry, dimensions, and attributes, while ensuring that the parameters we introduced allowed for seamless adjustments. Through the successful creation of these fully parametric family types, we showcased our skill at utilizing Revit's features to generate flexible and adjustable architectural components.

CARDEL HOMES 3D VISUALIZATION

The Cardel Homes assignment required us to utilize Revit to develop comprehensive architectural documentation, encompassing plans, sections, elevations, and schedules to efficiently organize and display essential project information. Our focus was on accurately representing the design's spatial layout and details. This entailed translating the conceptual design into detailed drawings, ensuring that all architectural elements were accurately depicted in their respective views. We demonstrated our proficiency in Revit to produce coherent and precise architectural documentation, essential for effective communication and project visualization.

RETAIL OFFICE IN-FILL BUILDING

During the week-long project using Revit, our task was to design a retail office in-fill building positioned between two existing structures.

We were tasked with developing two distinct façade design options, meticulously integrating them with structural intricacies and specifying material selections.

Our objective encompassed the creation of a captivating 3D screen utilizing massing techniques, while enhancing its complexity through the inclusion of nested parametric families serving as connectors for the screens.

The resulting project not only required precise architectural execution but also demanded a seamless integration of innovative design, structural coherence, and meticulous detailing within the given timeframe.

NAVISWORKS CLASH DETECTION

CLASH DETECTION ANALYSIS REPORT

In the clash detection assignment, our task was to perform clash detection using Navisworks between a structural model and an HVAC model. We executed the clash detection process to identify instances where elements intersected or conflicted spatially. After running the clash detection analysis, we generated a comprehensive report detailing the clashes found. This report explained the nature of each clash, its location, the specific elements involved, and provided visual representations of the clashes. By completing this assignment, we gained hands-on experience in utilizing clash detection tools to enhance coordination and resolve potential conflicts between different disciplines in a construction project

In the Synchro 4D scheduling assignment, we linked a construction project's 3D model with its schedule, adding time as the fourth dimension. By connecting model elements with project tasks, we visualized the construction process, analyzing activity sequences, identifying clashes, and refining resource allocation. This experience highlighted Synchro's role in improving coordination, communication, and decision-making by aligning virtual models with real-world timelines.
